Job Description

Job Description

Duration: 24 months
Location: Jurong & Seletar, Singapore

At Rolls-Royce we are proud to be a business that has truly helped to shape the modern world and are committed to always being a force for progress; powering, protecting and connecting people everywhere.

By joining Rolls-Royce in an Emerging Talent programme, you'll have the opportunity to work on world-class solutions, supported by a culture that believes individuality is our greatest strength, and all perspectives, experiences and backgrounds help us innovate and enable our high-performance culture.

Position summary:
During your two years on our Engineering and Technology Graduate programme, you’ll gain invaluable insight into the breadth of our work and discover where you’d like to take your career with us.

You’ll join our Engineering, Technology and Safety organisation (known as ET&S), which supports all our different divisions. You’ll complete rotational ‘gigs’, gathering experience across the engineering lifecycle and building capabilities such as mechanical systems, manufacturing, software and digital, electrical, materials and development. These gigs could be within our central Engineering, Technology and Safety teams or within our Civil Aerospace, Defence or Power Systems divisions. We want to give you a breadth of experience across Rolls-Royce to build your network, enable you to grow and help you find the best fit in our organisation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working on exciting and varied projects – such as power generation solutions for mission-critical applications, civil aircraft engines and comprehensive lifecycle support to customers
  • Learning how engineering requirements differ across applications and sectors, while applying common engineering principles
  • Gain hands-on, practical experience in operations and engineering activities to develop, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and methods
  • Ensure processes consistently meet business and customer requirements across safety, quality, cost, delivery rate, and lead time (SQCD)
  • Contributing ideas to help improve engineering processes, designs or operational performance
  • Learning about safety, quality, compliance and sustainability practices in engineering operations
  • Developing through a mix of digital learning, on-the-job training and opportunities that bring your ideas to life in meaningful ways
  • Benefiting from the support of a dedicated career coach, who will help you create a personalised development plan and guide you towards achieving your full potential
  • Accessing opportunities to work towards professional qualifications and continuous learning

Who we’re looking for:

  • A degree in any STEM subject, or joint honours degrees that combine STEM with subjects like business or economics
  • A strong passion for the future of technology
  • A willingness to work flexibly and travel between locations: in most cases, you will be able to achieve the scheme requirements in the location you are recruited to, however, we may need you to be flexible and travel between sites during or for your rotational ‘gigs’
  • Being open-minded, curious and agile in your approach to work and career development

We see hybrid working as a way to balance and flex our time between the office, home, or another remote working place. Everyone is expected on site, on average, three days per week. But specific arrangements will vary from role to role and gig to gig. We encourage and support flexible working arrangements where we can.

Our behaviours drive us - we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. We’ll expect that of you, too.

Our vision is to ensure that the excellence and ingenuity that shaped our history continues into our future. Our multi-year transformation programme aims to turn Rolls-Royce into a high-performing, competitive, resilient and growing company. Join us, and it can be your future vision too.

Rolls-Royce are committed to being a respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory workplace where individuality is valued, diverse perspectives fuel innovation, and everyone can thrive.
