We're recruiting a Policy Validation Analyst to join our Fraud Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the prevention and detection of application fraud across our Home and Motor portfolio.
You will play a key role in shaping and delivering our fraud prevention strategy to protect our Tesco customers. By collaborating with internal teams, industry partners and external organisations, you will help identify emerging threats, share valuable intelligence and enhance the effectiveness of our fraud controls. Please note that the full title in Tesco Underwriting Ltd is Policy Validation Analyst - Claims Intelligence Analyst.
What you’ll be doing
• Completing an end to end investigation on suspected fraudulent policies across our Home and Motor portfolios.• Using internal and external intelligence sources, data and fraud detection tools to assist with investigations.• You will be engaging with the customer at relevant points during the investigation to maintain a strong customer outcome.• Building relationships with industry peers and law enforcement agencies. You'll attend conferences, working groups and intelligence-sharing forums, bringing insights and best practice back into the organisation.• Creating intelligence profiles and supporting fraud investigations while ensuring compliance with data protection requirements and intelligence-sharing protocols.• Delivering fraud awareness activities, training and education across the business to strengthen fraud detection and prevention capabilities.
What we’re looking for: (minimum criteria) • A working knowledge of general insurance underwriting is essential, combined with experience working within a counter fraud, financial crime or insurance fraud environment.• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage workloads effectively, prioritise tasks and work independently while maintaining high standards.• Excellent communication with the ability to work as part of a team. • Strong IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work confidently across multiple systems and platforms while maintaining your own professional development.
And if you have any of these, even better • Experience using counter fraud software and intelligence-gathering tools.• Knowledge of OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) techniques and social media investigations.• Experience of delivering training, presentations and delivering effective relationships. • Progress towards, or completion of, relevant insurance, fraud or professional qualifications.
