Job Description

What do we do?

Established in 2012, Price Intelligently by Paddle is the undisputed leader in subscription-based pricing and monetization consultancy. Founded by a team of experienced product, econometrics, and SaaS operators, Price Intelligently has been instrumental in the growth and success of numerous SaaS and subscription companies, including fast-growing startups such as Notion, Pura, Bitly, and Intercom, as well as industry titans like Adobe, HubSpot, and Autodesk.

As a result of our recent growth, Price Intelligently is now looking to expand our team and is in search of a senior monetization/SaaS expert who can bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of pricing, monetization, and subscription models and the ability to develop and execute innovative strategies with executives, investors, and board members alike to maximize revenue and profitability.

Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payments infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.
We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 3000 software sellers in 245 territories globally

The Role:

As a Client Strategist, you’ll work directly with our B2B and B2C Subscription clients to drive growth and success in their monetization go-to-market strategies.

Price Intelligently engages with clients via a “pod” based structure, meaning each client we work with has a pod assigned to them. Each pod comprises a pricing strategist and a pricing analyst who work together with the client. Our goal is to bring on someone to fill the role of a Sr. Monetization/Pricing Strategist who will be responsible for many of our most compelling and high-growth companies in expanding markets. This role will also have the opportunity to help expand the craft of their peers by working as a role model for success in several facets.

The backbone of our success comes from the people on our team, perhaps none more visible than the PI strategist. These folks have been responsible for defining and often revolutionizing monetization strategies for many prolific subscription businesses worldwide.

Our base salary band for this role is $95-115k

What you'll do:

  • Complete and deliver strategic recommendations to clients in collaboration with a pricing analyst.
  • Provide valuable, implementable results and recommendations using our in-house developed and unique strategic analysis.
  • Manage the full life-cycle and communication for a client relationship, including project timelines and deliverables.
  • Build visually appealing, data-driven presentations and deliver to C-suite executives, board members, and investors.
  • Strategically engage with clients to upsell and cross-sell opportunities among our many products and offerings.
  • Serve as a product owner to drive improvements and innovations from the front line, including streamlining processes, creating better storytelling, and anything else to improve the Price Intelligently product and brand

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

  • Experience delivering strategic recommendations to C-suites and senior executives, leveraging data to justify ROI and impact. Bonus points for managing difficult political challenges
  • Strong project management skills, including timeline and communication management, and working autonomously (e.g., with little oversight).
  • Comfort with managing client expectations and deliverables, presenting results and recommendations.
  • Fostering client relationships through strong interpersonal skills and growing renewal revenue from existing accounts.
  • Have at least four years of relevant experience in consulting, external client management, pricing and packaging, SaaS strategy, or similar fields.

What employees are saying

"Paddle have always offered a flexible working from home policy, and with the impact of COVID-19, they have strengthened their approach to this culture. We have an office available if we want to work around the team, or we can work from home whenever we like. It's a great balance! The parental leave is also awesome, we're super dog friendly and have some excellent benefits. I never feel pressured to work particular hours or stress that I have to be in an office."
