Job Description

What do we do?

Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 3000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The role:

We are looking for a seasoned Global Director of Accounting to own Paddle’s accounting and controls function. As the leading Revenue Delivery Platform, finance and accounting is absolutely fundamental to Paddle’s product offering, with payments and tax at the core of our reseller model. This is a unique role which will straddle both accounting and interactions with our product and customers. You will report into the VP Finance working towards our strategic team goals.

Our salary band for this role is $220k-$240k

What you'll do:

  • Be our Accounting Standards expert and business partner for our GRC framework.

  • Day to day management of our accounting, audit and control environment.

  • Develop and implement robust, scalable and best practice financial controls and operating procedures.

  • Work closely with Finance Operations to scope and deliver implementation of the new accounting system.

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly consolidated financial reports for the company, board and investors.

  • Strong cross-team collaboration with FP&A on budget adherence and forecasting, Financial Operations on controls and policies, Treasury on cash-flow, cash management and cash forecast.

  • Management of a growing team amidst a company undergoing exponential growth.

  • Act as main contact for auditors, alongside managing the year end audit and statutory accounts.

We'd love to hear from you if you are:

  • Qualified accountant with at proven experience in a global accounting leadership role.

  • Previous experience in audit and/or accounting at a big four.

  • Strong stakeholder management.

  • Strong focus on controls and processes and a high attention to detail. IFRS experience preferred.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and adaptable to our fast-changing environment.

  • Passionate about solving problems and always identifying opportunities for improvement
