About the role
At NFU Mutual, you'll support the development of the Financial Services (Life, Pensions and Investment business) management information and reporting landscape, delivering high quality, automated and self-service insight that enables effective business decision making. You'll combine technical data expertise with strong business partnering skills to ensure data models and reporting solutions, including Power BI, are accurate, well governed and aligned to business needs, enabling stakeholders to access trusted, actionable insight efficiently.
You'll join the Financial Services (Life, Pensions and Investment) Data and Analytics team, which focuses on data, reporting and automation. You'll design and maintain automated reporting solutions, develop dashboards and insight, investigate data issues and unexpected outcomes, and translate business requirements into meaningful recommendations that support business performance. You'll also contribute to the ongoing evolution of reporting and analytics capability across the team.
Working collaboratively across Finance, Data and business teams, you'll help improve reporting accessibility, strengthen governance standards, support planning and forecasting activities, and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through automation and continuous improvement.
This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford Upon Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.
About you
You’re a curious and proactive analyst who takes accountability for accurate, high quality work. You use analytical thinking and attention to detail to solve problems, challenge assumptions, and ask thoughtful questions. You communicate complex data clearly and simply to technical and non technical audiences, building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing through insight. Collaborative and flexible, you prioritise effectively across planned work and ad hoc requests, while looking continuously for practical improvements to reporting and ways of working.
To join NFU Mutual, you’ll also bring
- Strong Power BI development and data modelling experience, including DAX, dashboard design and scalable reporting solutions
- Intermediate SQL capability for data extraction, transformation, manipulation and analysis
- Practical Excel experience and experience with forecasting or planning tools
- Proven reporting and management information development, including requirements gathering and translating business needs into actionable insight
- Experience of data governance, controls, reporting standards, process automation and reporting efficiency, with Life, investments and pensions knowledge highly desirable
