Job Description
Customer Support Adviser
- Two opportunities available within an expanding, well-established business
- Excellent career and development opportunity
- 100% based in our Douglas branch, Isle of Man
About the role
We are recruiting two additional Customer Support Advisers to join our thriving business in the Isle of Man. Due to continuous positive growth, we're looking for two Customer Service Advisers to join us and support our customers. We're a well-established organisation with relationships that have been built over the 80 years we have had a presence on the island. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we're delighted to bring our expertise and support to customers during their time of need.
As a Customer Support Adviser, you'll be delivering high levels of customer service in person at our customer counter, over the phone, and via email. You'll be responding to queries, updating customer details on our internal systems, conducting renewal discussions and mid-term adjustments. Whether you have previous insurance experience or not, you'll be well supported by our experienced colleagues whilst onboarding and studying towards your NFU Mutual Insurance licences. The licensing process is a marathon, not a sprint, and involves a blend of e-learning, interactive webinars and self-directed learning, followed by assessment. You'll learn all you need to know about insurance and the related sales activities to set you up for a career of success. Once licenced, you'll be hands-on and support customers with Motor and Personal lines insurance products.
This is an excellent opportunity for you if you're looking to embark on a new career with a well-established, solid organisation, offering you a stable opportunity to learn and develop.
This role falls under Insurance Distribution Directive requirements, and as a result, role holders will be required to demonstrate ongoing Continuous Professional Development in role, along with undergoing regular re-screening to show that they are of “Good Repute”. Further information can be found in the FCA Handbook.
Please note that this role offering is subject to Isle of Man Government Work Permit regulations.

You’ll stay calm and professional when handling more challenging situations, and you enjoy working as part of a close-knit team where collaboration really matters.
To join our team, you’ll also bring:
