Senior Product Manager, Learning, UK

Employment type:  Full time

3–4 days/week at home

A little flex time

Job Description

We’re on a mission to create a diverse group of future leaders. We do that through professional apprenticeships because we believe learning on-the-job creates a more equitable and successful path to careers. We find, train and support talented individuals, wherever they are in their career journey, and equip them with the in-demand tech, software engineering, and data skills to transform their careers and deliver a better route to growth for their employers.

We’ve had some big achievements. We hit 10,000 apprentices in our community - and counting. We launched one of the largest data apprenticeship programs in the UK with Jaguar Land Rover, and we’ve partnered with companies like Mars, Verizon and CitiBank. Not to forget becoming a mission-driven EdTech unicorn after our $220m Series D.

But we aren’t stopping here. Join Multiverse and build the future of learning at work.

The Opportunity

The Learning Product Management team is responsible for shaping the world-class apprenticeship programs in fulfilment of Multiverse’s ambition to build an alternative to university. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Learning Product Manager that will own and solve our most complex product problems, setting the bar for excellence for those around them.

This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, customers and apprentices to shape what an excellent apprenticeship program looks like in our key markets, and unlock the potential of underrepresented talent through applied learning.

Specifically you will…

  • Set the vision and strategy for a subset of apprenticeship programs within our learning product portfolio, based on a deep understanding of business objectives, customer needs and market trends

  • Shape and influence our broader product roadmap, working with other leaders across the business to execute against our vision

  • Engage with C-level and VP-level executives to drive and influence decision-making for our learning product portfolio

  • Coach other Learning Product Managers and champion product development best practices

  • Establish frameworks to guide strategic initiatives, iterating on our formula to ensure that all apprenticeship programs achieve strong product-market fit and deliver immense value to our customers and apprentices

  • Manage complex stakeholder interactions and represent our team both internally to the business and externally to our customers

A Bit About You…

  • You have 7+ years of experience in a product or strategy role within a commercial business

  • You’ve led high-profile and complex initiatives in product development or strategy in a fast-paced environment, and have a track record of excellence and impact

  • You are an expert in your craft, and you can coach others in product development best practices and frameworks

  • You are strategic and analytical - able to synthesise insights and develop a clear strategy and roadmap for a major product area

  • You’re excellent at working with senior stakeholders and influencing without authority. You’re an effective and persuasive communicator, and can confidently navigate difficult conversations with peers and senior stakeholders with both clarity and warmth

  • You’ve got a strong operational skillset, and are highly effective at managing and reporting against priorities in collaboration with a cross-functional and distributed team. You can delegate effectively to teammates as needed

  • You have worked in a high-growth business, and you have demonstrated effective leadership in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment

  • You are passionate about social and economic mobility, and the goal of ensuring that all talented people - regardless of background - have access to the best opportunities

Benefits

  • Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 7 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days and 4 company-wide wellbeing days and 8 bank holidays per year

  • Health & Wellness - private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, gym membership & wellness resources through Gympass and access to Spill - all in one mental health support

  • Hybrid & remote work offering - with weekly or monthly visits to the London office and the opportunity to work abroad 45 days a year

  • Team fun - weekly socials, company wide events and office snacks!
