Job Description
We’re on a mission to create a diverse group of future leaders. We do that through professional apprenticeships because we believe learning on-the-job creates a more equitable and successful path to careers. We find, train and support talented individuals, wherever they are in their career journey, and equip them with the in-demand tech, software engineering, and data skills to transform their careers and deliver a better route to growth for their employers.
We’ve had some big achievements. We hit 10,000 apprentices in our community - and counting. We launched one of the largest data apprenticeship programs in the UK with Jaguar Land Rover, and we’ve partnered with companies like Mars, Verizon and CitiBank. Not to forget becoming a mission-driven EdTech unicorn after our $220m Series D.
But we aren’t stopping here. Join Multiverse and build the future of learning at work.
Requirements
At Multiverse, our people team is here to support every individual to fulfil their potential - and therefore Multiverse’s.
After a period of intense scale, we are now reaching the size and maturity to take our people partnering strategy to the next level. You will work with our leadership team in enabling our highly engaged, ambitious and intelligent Mutliversers to achieve more than they ever thought possible.
You will get to form deep partnering relationships with our C-suite and VPs, to ensure a consistent Multiverse approach, tailored to the suit the teams’ unique needs. We have brilliant foundations already in place and a team of excellent people partners to lead and partner alongside - we would love to meet someone who is ready to join us for an amazing ride.
Specifically, you will:
Build and execute an effective end-to-end partnering strategy, implementing specific programmes to drive performance, engagement and wellbeing for your client group
Work with the Director of People Experience to ensure that DEI is at the heart of what we do, and embedded into all our processes
Work with the Senior Leaders in your orgs to ensure that our hiring planning and organisation growth support our planned scale
Optimise role design, compensation philosophies, and incentive plans to drive growth and performance, for non traditional & unique roles
Lead on complex ER matters that are escalated beyond our ER team, supporting a resolution that leads to the best outcomes for all
Design and delivery custom career development approaches, L&D programmes, succession planning and engagement action planning activities
About you:
Need for speed: You’ve held a senior people partnering role in a people team fast-paced scaleup that’s grown rapidly, ideally with presence in both the US and UK.
Subject matter expertise: You have demonstrable experience of leading a people partnering strategy, and have a deep understanding of how strategic people practices reduce risk and enhance performance.
Passion: You believe in the power of people teams to build thriving companies and cultures. You stop at nothing to make sure that this is felt in every team in the business.
Right hand person: you know how to build relationships with managers of all levels - you’re empathetic, compassionate, effective and commercially minded.
Thought leader: we’re not looking for your traditional people partner - we’re looking for someone who sees people operations as a product and who innovates constantly to improve the employee experience.
Inspo: You are an inspiring people partner, someone that people inherently trust and who earns that trust.
People partnering guru: You know your stuff in the people space and are a leader on the best, most innovative people practices (plus some of the more boring bits, too).
The job is never done: You pride yourself on your attention to detail and never dropping the ball. You understand that you can only expect excellence if you demonstrate it yourself.
