Job Description
We are Multiverse, a tech scaleup with a social mission. We’re creating a diverse group of future leaders by building an outstanding alternative to college and corporate training.
In June 2022, we announced our $220M Series D raise, making Multiverse a mission-driven unicorn. This funding will help us to accelerate our growth in the US, where we’re committed to tackling the toughest challenges facing those who seek jobs - and those who provide them.
In our first year in the US, we launched over 20 apprentice cohorts at some of the best companies in America, including the likes of American Express, Citizens Bank and Visa. Globally, we work with over 500 clients and we’ve been recognized as one of the fastest-growing businesses in Europe.
Join us on our journey to democratizing access to the best careers and learning opportunities.
The Opportunity
The Learning Product Management team is responsible for shaping the world-class apprenticeship programs in fulfilment of Multiverse’s ambition to build an alternative to university. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Learning Product Manager that will own and solve our most complex product problems, setting the bar for excellence for those around them.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, customers and apprentices to shape what an excellent apprenticeship program looks like in our key markets, and unlock the potential of underrepresented talent through applied learning.
Specifically you will…
Set the vision and strategy for a subset of apprenticeship programs within our learning product portfolio, based on a deep understanding of business objectives, customer needs and market trends
Shape and influence our broader product roadmap, working with other leaders across the business to execute against our vision
Engage with C-level and VP-level executives to drive and influence decision-making for our learning product portfolio
Coach other Learning Product Managers and champion product development best practices
Establish frameworks to guide strategic initiatives, iterating on our formula to ensure that all apprenticeship programs achieve strong product-market fit and deliver immense value to our customers and apprentices
Manage complex stakeholder interactions and represent our team both internally to the business and externally to our customers
A Bit About You…
You have 8+ years of experience in a product or strategy role within a commercial business
You’ve led high-profile and complex initiatives in product development or strategy in a fast-paced environment, and have a track record of excellence and impact
You are an expert in your craft, and you can coach others in product development best practices and frameworks
You are strategic and analytical - able to synthesise insights and develop a clear strategy and roadmap for a major product area
You’re excellent at working with senior stakeholders and influencing without authority. You’re an effective and persuasive communicator, and can confidently navigate difficult conversations with peers and senior stakeholders with both clarity and warmth
You’ve got a strong operational skillset, and are highly effective at managing and reporting against priorities in collaboration with a cross-functional and distributed team. You can delegate effectively to teammates as needed
You have worked in a high-growth business, and you have demonstrated effective leadership in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
You are passionate about social and economic mobility, and the goal of ensuring that all talented people - regardless of background - have access to the best opportunities
Benefits
Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 7 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days and 4 company-wide wellbeing days
Health & wellbeing - private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, and access to Spill - all in one mental health support
Hybrid & remote working - weekly visits to the London office
Flexibility - 4 day or 80% contracts will be considered for this role
Equity - every Multiverse employee has ownership in the business through equity options
Team fun - weekly socials and regular offsite events
Our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We’re an equal opportunities employer. And proud of it. Every applicant and employee is afforded the same opportunities regardless of race, colour, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status. This will never change.
Safeguarding
All posts in Multiverse involve some degree of responsibility for safeguarding. Successful applicants are required to complete a Disclosure Form from the Disclosure and Barring Service ("DBS") for the position. Failure to declare any convictions (that are not subject to DBS filtering) may disqualify a candidate for appointment or result in summary dismissal if the discrepancy comes to light subsequently.

What employees are saying
Especially since our work spans many time zones (US West Coast to UK) there's a lot of flexibility since there are different folks that work together at different times. I can plan early days for when I need to connect with folks that are ahead of me (time zone-wise) or later on days that I'm working with US folks and doing heads-down work. I appreciate that my leaders know that I will get my work done and if I need to go to appointments or take time mid-day, that is supported.
