Job Description
We’re on a mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.
We close critical skill gaps in the workforce through a new kind of apprenticeship that combines work and learning. We begin by recognizing high-potential individuals both inside and outside of a company's current workforce and then we create applied, guided and equitable learning programs, with measurable impact. Because we believe the world needs a better way to match its potential.
We work with over 1,000 leading companies including the likes of Microsoft, Citi and Just Eat to help solve their business-critical problems, and we’ve trained over 12,000 professional apprentices in the tech and data skills of the future. This is made possible by our global team who are driven to achieve a mission that matters, together.
Join Multiverse and help us set a new course for work.

The Head of Learning Engineering coaches and guides their direct reports to identify the most impactful opportunities to work on, and implement research-backed pilots and evaluation strategies to determine what works.
A key motto of Multiverse is, “Vision without execution is hallucination.” To that end, the Head of Learning Engineering sets an execution-focused mindset for their team, aids in troubleshooting and is expected to roll up their sleeves from day one to ensure theory leads to practice.
Specifically, you will...

Championing new ideas with leadership teams to gain buy-in for how to productise new delivery models and AI-powered enablement tools to unblock team efforts to turn theory into practice.
Develop strong cross-functional communication and hypercare plans for pilots and research activities to balance risk and innovation.
Deliver thought leadership
Continuously horizon scanning the fields of artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, psychology, economics and education, to share new developments and spark new ideas in the team.
Educate both internally to the business and externally with clients on the role of learning engineering and the value it delivers to Multiverse.
Set the standard for research activities and team processes to ensure pilots measure efficacy and build evidence-based cases to implement successful learning at-scale initiatives across the organisation.
Publish research on tested interventions to increase brand awareness on our cutting-edge approaches to learning at scale.
Being the expert voice in sales conversations on how our learning model works, partnering with CSM and PMM leadership on how to position proof points of new models and proactively create solutions to anticipate client responses.
Team Development
Sets a high benchmark for excellence, provides direct feedback and holds people to account when they aren’t meeting the expected standards.
Monitors development trends across the team, creating training on skill gaps and identifying issues across people, processes and technology.
Consistently and effectively using recognition to motivate, improve team engagement and help others see the value of their work and pinpoint areas to improve.
Ability to identify and adopt different coaching and management techniques to suit the needs of direct reports.
About you...
Our leadership team celebrates diversity and welcomes individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. For instance, you might bring expertise as a research-centric product leader in educational or workforce technology, or as a management consultant focused on social impact initiatives.
You possess a track record of working with emerging technologies and leveraging research and a commercial approach to support innovative learning approaches.
You have successfully led teams through experimental design processes, utilising both quantitative and qualitative research methods to drive evidence-based outcomes.
Your experience includes effectively managing complex workflows by creating robust roadmaps, tracking milestones, collaborating with stakeholders, and communicating with clarity and impact with experience in influencing upwards and cross-functionally.
You are driven by a commitment to execution and implementation, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and adaptable to fast-paced environments, with a focus on clarity and flexibility.
You align closely with our values and can share examples of how you have demonstrated them.
