Director of Learning Product Management, US

Employment type:  Full time

3–4 days/week at home

Job Description

We’re on a mission to create a diverse group of future leaders. We do that through professional apprenticeships because we believe learning on-the-job creates a more equitable and successful path to careers. We find, train and support talented individuals, wherever they are in their career journey, and equip them with the in-demand tech, software engineering, and data skills to transform their careers and deliver a better route to growth for their employers.

We’ve had some big achievements. We hit 10,000 apprentices in our community - and counting. We launched one of the largest data apprenticeship programs in the UK with Jaguar Land Rover, and we’ve partnered with companies like Mars, Verizon and CitiBank. Not to forget becoming a mission-driven EdTech unicorn after our $220m Series D.

But we aren’t stopping here. Join Multiverse and build the future of learning at work.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Director of Learning Product Management. With an aim to have the best blended learning in the world, the Director of Learning Product Management will shape and drive our priorities to ensure the products meet the demand of customers and deliver measurable business results. This is a once-in-a-lifetime role to lead on the building and iteration of our current product set, optimize our product management organization, and to be part of a unique company mission and dedicated team.

Our learning products are not only backed by data and backward-designed from best-in-class models of individual performance, but also centered on a unique relationship between the individual apprentice and a highly skilled and empathetic coach. If this sparks something in you, then you might be interested in joining our team.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Develop and iterate our formula to ensure that all of our learning products achieve predictably excellent results across our product range, both on and offline;

  • Ensure that all of our learning products are world class, meeting the needs of both apprentices and clients;

  • Establish and maintain the right feedback loops to monitor and improve our existing products, spanning Delivery, Learning, CSM, GTM;

  • Reporting and planning - lead internal reporting on product data and product planning, spanning feature development and the portfolio/roadmap for the Learning organization.

General Responsibilities Of The Role

  • Bringing strong experience and leadership in learning products to bear in a practical way, to build and maintain a world-class, financially attractive product set that scales and achieves consistent results.

  • Overseeing learning product development for our current programs, both through managing others and in a hands-on way; knowing the details and data behind what gets results, and leveraging the right resources to achieve excellence.

  • Developing and overseeing our learning product roadmap for our existing portfolio. You will ensure key stakeholders from across the business are consulted, informed and input on the direction of our product set.

  • Knowing what works in our products and why; having strong feedback loops with the Delivery, Learning, CSM, and GTM teams to ensure apprentices set up for success.

  • Implementing a strategic, data-driven approach to product development to ensure product-market fit, using rapid iteration to identify and test hypotheses before launch.

  • Being a great leader; hiring and managing a team of product managers to support their growth while proposing and managing relevant budgets and resources.

About You:

  • You are an exceptional people leader with experience hiring, inspiring and developing exceptional, diverse teams; people love working with and for you because you challenge, develop, recognise and motivate them to perform at peak levels.

  • You have a strong track-record (5-7 years) of launching and overseeing complex products with high success in world-leading organizations; You conduct market and client research to make data-informed decisions without overcomplicating the process

  • You are an advocate of applied learning and deeply believe that knowledge, skills and behaviors must be applied in the real world to be useful; you care deeply about learners and long-term outcomes; You can deliver exceptional learning designed to integrate with day-to-day work; assessment = performance.

  • You have experience scaling commercial products. You are strategic with commercial acumen - you are intensely curious about and will find data to back: what the market wants to buy, what makes us unique or better, and whether our hypotheses are correct, and you do these things authentically.

  • You see technology as part of the solution but not the whole solution; you can articulate the role of technology in supporting world-class learning but also privilege the role of coach and facilitator, and look for ways that learning can create deep relationships.

The base salary range for this role is $180,000 - $220,000.
