The Opportunity

The Data Coach role is an incredibly rewarding opportunity where you will be instrumental in guiding career builders at different stages of their journey to take on leadership in their roles and become more data-driven. Our programme empowers apprentices to accelerate their growth whilst helping businesses navigate digital transformation and use data more effectively.
Specifically, you will:
As a Data Coach, you will be responsible for your own cohort of apprentices; you’ll be delivering a mixture of 1:1 / small group coaching sessions, facilitating online interactive workshops as well as focusing on applied learning to build their data skills, confidence and business leadership.
What Is The Programme I Would Be Teaching?
The Data Literacy Programme is delivered to groups of up to 50 learners over 13 months aimed at career builders.
The programme is designed to help apprentices develop a data driven approach whilst learning how to use data to drive decision making.
The course is delivered through a series of 10 modules and monthly coaching sessions and is focused on applied learning to build core workplace skills, data skills and workplace confidence - apprentices will be assessed on The Data Technician Standard.
About the team
Our DLP team has a diverse mix of industry experience from both the public and private sector. Our coaches have been Educational Leaders, Teachers, Instructors, Tutors, Coaches and Mentors as well as, PhD Graduates, Researchers, Data Analysts, Business Analytics experts. Holistically, the team possesses a blend of facilitation excellence and industry expertise, ensuring apprentices benefit from learning how to apply theoretical concepts into practical application.
You will be coming into a forward-thinking, supportive and driven team, working together to make an impact for our apprentices and their organisations!
About you
You might work in Industry and use data daily to make informed business decisions or perhaps you are in the education sector as Head of a department, Subject Lead or in STEM and track/analyse data to measure performance and outcomes.
You are completely passionate about developing yourself and other professionals and have experience through teaching, coaching, training, mentoring, within small group settings or 1:1. Moreover, you love thinking through the details of how to deliver an effective learning experience and love making impact at scale.
You are data driven: you have a strong experience using data with a solid working knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) (essential) and Power BI (desirable but not essential).
You are passionate about data and can evidence this in your career journey and the opportunity to share the power of its use in a business setting.
You will have experience managing and developing good stakeholder relationships - as a coach, part of your role will be working closely with the learners and apprentice managers.
You believe in the principles of applied learning: it’s all about developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours in a way that can be used in a real context, straightaway.
You thrive in a culture where feedback drives growth.
You are a player-coach: you can provide guidance, support and encouragement harnessing your experience to support people to kick start their career.
You are able to demonstrate consistent evidence of high impact from your previous roles.
