Compliance Executive (Apprenticeship Services)

Employment type:  Full time

3–4 days/week at home

Job Description

We’re on a mission to create a diverse group of future leaders. We do that through professional apprenticeships because we believe learning on-the-job creates a more equitable and successful path to careers. We find, train and support talented individuals, wherever they are in their career journey, and equip them with the in-demand tech, software engineering, and data skills to transform their careers and deliver a better route to growth for their employers.

We’ve had some big achievements. We hit 10,000 apprentices in our community - and counting. We launched one of the largest data apprenticeship programs in the UK with Jaguar Land Rover, and we’ve partnered with companies like Mars, Verizon and CitiBank. Not to forget becoming a mission-driven EdTech unicorn after our $220m Series D.

But we aren’t stopping here. Join Multiverse and build the future of learning at work.

The opportunity:

Our UK ESFA (Education and Skills Funding Agency) Compliance Team is at the heart of Multiverse: accountable for the management of all apprentice records and responsible for the design and delivery of best-practice processes for governmental apprentice funding.

We are looking for a Compliance Executive: someone who is passionate about delivering operational excellence and driven to constantly improve their ways of working. This role drives revenue for Multiverse as you take on core tasks for apprentice enrolment including uploading apprentice records, collating key documentation and guiding employers on their requirements. You will also contribute to the efficient running of the team and contribute to wider projects within accounting and compliance.

You will be working in a supportive, friendly & collaborative team, ensuring that Multiverse delivers an excellent service, whilst adhering to the rules governing apprenticeships.

Specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate information on the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) - the platform employers use to keep track of their apprentices and the funding to pay for the training. This drives Multiverse revenue.

  • Manage and maintain an efficient system to track DAS requests statuses and flag any requests not received or incorrect and be proactive in flagging issues and supporting employers to onboard apprentices on DAS.

  • Work to strict deadlines in order to efficiently collect funding from the ESFA. There will be 1-2 peak weeks each quarter where flexibility in working hours may be needed.

  • Collaborate and liaise with the apprenticeship launch and sales teams to ensure all clients are engaging with DAS - driving a singular message for the enrolment process. Troubleshoot problems encountered.

  • Carry out the compliance checks on data, spotting and recording errors, and communicating these to the relevant stakeholders in Multiverse (Account executives, coaches, Quality team, EPA Team).

  • Take ownership of process improvement, learning from experience to build better, more efficient processes. You will be a valued and trusted business partner within the wider Multiverse team, supporting in particular the Sales team.

  • Sit within the wider accounting team and assist with general finance operations as required. The team operates on a hybrid-model with minimum of one day a week spent working from our Paddington office.

About you:

  • You have experience in a regulatory or compliance role, with a proven track record of following and implementing processes to meet high standards and deadlines. Specific DAS processing and ESFA compliance experience beneficial.

  • You are highly organised and meticulous, skilled at identifying and rectifying discrepancies. You contribute not only by managing your own tasks but also by aiding others to stay organised.

  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable working cross-functionally with other teams both internal and external to Multiverse to effectively manage stakeholders.

  • A proactive self-starter who is comfortable working in in a fast-paced environment, prioritises effectively, and drives results. You thrive off hitting targets and metrics and enjoy sharing and absorbing knowledge within a team.

  • Eager to continuously learn new skills and grow with the wider accounting team to adapt quickly to change and assist in operations.

  • You align closely with our values and can share examples of how you have demonstrated them.
