The Opportunity

Thanks to an expanding project portfolio, we have a new, exciting opportunity for a Technical Director to join our growing Geotechnical team, based in Auckland. Your focus will be primarily on New Zealand and Australian projects, but you will also support other offices globally by providing internal support services related to tunnelling, foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and ground interpretations on civil infrastructure projects.

Your Role

In this varied and impactful role, your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Managing geotechnical projects
  • Preparing designs, specifications, and plans
  • Writing and reviewing technical reports
  • Providing expert advice to our contractor partners during construction
  • Training and mentoring junior team members
  • Attending client meetings and managing the client interface on progressively larger and more complex projects

About You

You are a degree-qualified Civil or Geotechnical Engineer with experience in multi-disciplinary design and construction projects. You have a well-developed sense of engineering and commercial risk, are a team player, and are willing to contribute to the professional development of junior staff. You possess the ability to find innovative solutions for our clients, and ideally will be a chartered engineer, or close to achieving this.
