Job Description :

We are seeking a Structural Engineer having relevant experience to join our team in Noida and take a role in the delivery of Underground Transportation projects. These cover the full spectrum of Underground Structure engineering from the sustainable design of new structures (underground stations, cut and cover tunnels, launching and receiving shafts etc.) to the use of emerging technologies together with advanced structural and basic geotechnical analysis to solve some of the most challenging Underground Transpiration Structure problems. The scale of our projects ranges from small and bespoke design commissions through to some of the most significant infrastructure projects within worldwide.

Job Location : Noida

Key Responsibilities:

Complete assigned tasks in accordance with quality, timescales, and budgeted hours.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives to develop design solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

Comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

Development of functional concept design, technical solutions, design calculations, drawings specifications, cost estimates.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Mott MacDonald's quality standard procedures.

Foster a culture of right first-time delivery and work with Project Managers/Principals to ensure effective project delivery.

Assist Senior discipline staff in interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements and standards are met.

Ability to work independently with some guidance and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Support detailed design of new underground structures, including concept development, analysis, and design documentation

Apply national and international design codes and standards across various project phases

Collaborate with geotechnical, architecture, MEP and digital engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions

Candidate Specification :

We are looking for flexible and motivated professional with a genuine passion and a desire to make a difference in the world.

Qualifications:

Degree qualified in civil engineering (BE/B. Tech./ME/M. Tech./ MSc or equivalent).

Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in underground Transportation structural works.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Experience and a commitment to effective management of Health, Safety and Welfare, Safety by Design.

Demonstrable experience in Underground Transportation structure analysis and design including an ability to undertake and oversee the analysis of structures using standard industry software, such as, MIDAS Civil, STAAD Pro, Robot, SAP2000

Basic knowledge of geotechnical analysis software like PLAXIS 2D/3D, MIDAS GTS NX or similar.

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and new technologies.

Perform advanced structural analyses, including finite element analysis and modelling, limit equilibrium and soil-structure interaction analysis for tunnel linings, retaining systems, deep foundations (well, pile, Diaphragm Wall, barrette), and ground improvement.

Proficient with construction stage analysis for underground structure and deep excavation.

Understanding the use of Geotechnical Investigation report.

Ability to deliver high-quality design documentation including option appraisals, drawings, calculations, reports, specifications and construction documentation from Structural Point of view.

Understanding of relevant international standards (e.g. Eurocodes, AASHTO, AREMA etc.).

General IT software skills, such as, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ProjectWise, Bentley and Autodesk software.

Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (written and verbal)

Desirable Competencies / Skills:

M.Tech or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Rock and Underground Structures or a related field will be an added advantage.

Experience in the preparation of tender submissions would be advantageous.

Knowledge of the sustainable design of bridges and civil structures would be advantageous.

Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE) will be an added advantage.

Experience in construction stage support for an Underground Transportation Structure will be an added advantage.

Experience of digital delivery tools and workflows, for example BIM, parametric design and automation.
