This position is responsible for the project management and technical evaluation associated with the technical due diligence of project acquisitions, preparation of feasibility and detailed project reports. Responsibilities will be to mainly to assess the renewable energy investment (solar, wind, hybrid, BESS etc.) – technically and commercially and provide required guidance that will enable the companies to take strategic decisions.

  • Technical due diligence, techno-economic viability, feasibility studies, detailed project reports covering review of technology, design, contracts, infrastructure, permits and clearances, land area analysis, risk analysis, financial model.
  • Construction monitoring covering drawdown plan review, project scheduling, tracking on physical progress, tracking on financial progress, quality checks and site safety review
  • Solar and wind resource assessment and energy yield assessments
  • Experience of BESS preferred.
  • Experience of roof top, solar parks, and utility scale solar & wind power projects
  • Review of performance test procedures, witnessing performance tests and preparing performance test reports
  • Review of operation / maintenance performance and revenue monitoring
  • Tender/bid process management in Wind and Solar PV (Rooftop PV or Utility Scale)
  • Understanding of policy and regulatory framework for deployment of rooftop PV and utility scale, solar power projects
  • Experience of consulting support to state level entities and agencies for program design/development and implementation support for rooftop PV, solar PV projects, solar parks etc.
  • Developing detailed engineering design and drawings
  • Strong commercial and technical awareness and understanding of system components.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities as well as sound writing, communication, and interpersonal / international skills.
  • Willingness to travel, both domestic and international.

Desired Qualification and Experience

  • BE (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil), Masters in Renewable Energy (preferred)
  • Minimum of 8-15+ years’ experience solar and wind projects
  • Strong understanding of the renewable energy sector, solar, BESS and wind
  • Financial and contract review experience is a plus.
  • Possess excellent English oral and written communication skills (report writing).
  • Experience for Technical Assistance services for IFI projects (ADB, WB) (preferred)
  • Positive attitude, team player.
  • Support the continuous improvement of the business.
  • Provide renewable energy technical guidance and expertise to the wider group.
  • Flexible to work away from your home office and travel within and outside India

Fluency in English, excellent communication and report writing skills
