Your Opportunity
Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Transport team has an exciting opening for a Public Utility Plant (PUPs) engineering in the Brisbane, Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast office. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia.
As a PUPs Engineer, you will be responsible for the identification, assessment, coordination and management of utilities impacted by major transport infrastructure projects. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will engage closely with clients, utility authorities, contractors and designers to develop practical utility solutions that support successful project delivery. You will have the opportunity to contribute to some of Queensland's most complex road, rail and public transport projects while building strong relationships with key utility stakeholders across the region.

Provide specialist Public Utility Plant (PUPs) engineering expertise across major road, rail and transport infrastructure projects.

Lead and support utility investigations, identification, protection, relocation and stakeholder approval processes.

Coordinate utility relocation and adjustment works, ensuring compliance with client, regulatory and utility authority requirements while minimising disruption to essential services.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key utility providers and authorities including Urban Utilities, Unitywater, Seqwater, Logan Water, Redland City Council, and City of Gold Coast Water and Waste.

Identify, assess and manage utility-related risks and opportunities, implementing innovative and value-driven solutions.

Collaborate with clients, utility authorities, contractors, subconsultants and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Prepare, review and undertake quality assurance of utility strategies, technical reports, designs and project deliverables.

Support business development activities through proposals, tenders, fee submissions and client engagement.

Help grow Mott MacDonald's presence within the Queensland transport market by developing trusted client relationships and identifying opportunities for future work.

Contribute to technical leadership, knowledge sharing and the ongoing development of our Queensland Transport team.
About You
We're interested in hearing from professionals who bring:

A degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

Demonstrated experience working with Public Utility Plant (PUPs) on transport, civil or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of utilities coordination, relocation and authority engagement within Queensland.

Experience working with utility owners, water authorities, councils and service providers.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Experience on major road, rail or public transport projects will be highly regarded.

A proactive, collaborative approach and a passion for delivering quality outcomes.
