As our team continues to expand, we are seeking experienced Energy Project Managers to join us in delivering high-impact solutions for nationally recognized clients. This is an opportunity to collaborate with industry-leading experts on transformative energy projects across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary energy projects from inception to completion
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and successful project outcomes
  • Manage and plan projects across a range of energy sectors, including:
    • Renewable generation (wind, solar, battery storage)
    • Overhead and underground cable routing
    • Substations and switchyards
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to project teams
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, contracts, and deliverables
  • Support and manage proposals and bids for commercial opportunities
  • Represent Mott MacDonald in client-facing engagements under the direction of leadership
  • Collaborate closely with internal business units and cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to professional excellence initiatives across disciplines
  • Promote project visibility and success both internally and externally

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, project management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in energy transmission and/or generation design and construction, including at least 3 years in project management
  • Proven leadership and project management capabilities, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary teams and navigate challenging project dynamics
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience preparing and interpreting technical reports and evaluating solutions
  • Comfortable in client-facing roles with a track record of successful client engagement
  • Willingness to travel as required by client needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of industry codes, standards, and best practices

The expected salary for this position is:

Massachusetts: $127,000 - $155,000

New York: $129,000 - $158,000

New Jersey: $128,000 - $156,000

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
