We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Principal Project Manager to lead our projects in the Oregon and SW Washington Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex infrastructure projects, developing client relationships, and driving business growth across transportation, built environment, energy, defense, aviation and water.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners. Act as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the transportation, built environment, energy, defense, aviation and water sectors. Prepare and present proposals to secure new projects.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Mentor and develop junior staff.
- Utilize your technical knowledge and expertise to provide innovative solutions and address project challenges.
- Oversee project budgets, financial performance, and risk management. Ensure projects are commercially robust and financially viable.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental considerations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional registration (PE) in Oregon and Washington is a must.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in planning, design, and construction management of projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
- Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and secure new opportunities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
