Job Profile

As Chief Construction Environment Expert, you will be responsible for advising the client as a subject matter expert on all relevant aspects, including but not limited to roles and responsibilities as per the satisfaction of the client.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing the environment team deployed at the project office.

  • Reviewing EIA Reports, including policy and preparation of revised reports in accordance with JICA, EIA, and SIA guidelines if required.

  • Reviewing EIA procedures taken by DMRC and proposing necessary suggestions in accordance with JICA guidelines if necessary.

  • Preparing draft environment monitoring plans and monitoring mechanism plans in accordance with JICA guidelines if required.

  • Assisting JICA’s external environment impact assessment committee.

  • Implementing DMRC’s environment monitoring at construction sites in accordance with conditions of contract for safety, health, and environment.

  • Analyzing, approving cost implications, and implementing any new directions issued by any statutory authority from time to time.

  • Facilitating with prominent and competent manufacturers and suppliers.

The Candidate Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s and master’s in environmental science / engineering
  • 20+ years of relevant experience in metro/rail/transport/large infrastructure projects
  • Minimum 5 years of international experience in similar roles
  • Mandatory experience in PMC /GC of Metro/Rail Projects.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Qualification: Graduate in Civil Engineering; 15 years in metro/rail/transport/large infrastructure projects in Environmental Management.

  • Industry: Metro Rail.

  • Functional Area: Environment.
