At Mott we are looking for a Principal Digital Engineer.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, cross-functional group managers, and global engineering leads to ensure consistency and excellence in application development and governance.
  • Mentor and foster the growth of a forward-thinking team dedicated to developing next-generation digital applications.
  • Oversee the planning, design, development, execution, and maintenance of software applications that seamlessly scale across our organization and client base.
  • Operate at all levels, providing strategic insights while delving into the intricate details of application development as required.
  • A commitment to high quality applications and be able to pay attention to detail.
  • Lead the estimation process, evaluate risks, and mentor team members to enhance their skills and adherence to companywide software development best practices.
  • Qualifications:
  • Degree in computer science or software engineering, with at least 8 years of relevant work experience, including experience in technical leadership and people management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional team across multiple countries (United Kingdom, New Zealand, and United States).
  • Strong communication, technical, and managerial skills.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud-first application patterns (MS Azure).
  • Proficiency in one of the following .Net, net Core ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, PHP, React, Nodejs, AngularJS, web services, Web-Api, Azure Devops, Python, JavaScript (ES2016), C#, PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with containerized workloads and Kubernetes environment.
  • Familiarity in MS PowerPlatform would be beneficial
  • Understanding of the importance of communication, simplicity, and reliability in decision-making processes.
