Job Location- Noida/Bangalore/Mumbai

We are seeking an Highways Engineer to join our team and take a role in the delivery of highway and drainage projects. Candidate should have good knowledge of highway design, active travel scheme design, highway drainage design, and should be able to apply the latest technology in the market. The scale of our projects ranges from small and bespoke design commissions through to some of the most significant infrastructure projects within the UK and worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned tasks in accordance with quality, timescales, and budgeted hours.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives to develop design solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Mott MacDonald's quality standard procedures.
  • Foster a culture of right first-time delivery and work with Project Managers/Principals to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and new technologies.
  • Should proactively seek personal and professional development opportunities.

Candidate Specification:

We are looking for a flexible and motivated professional with a genuine passion and a desire to make a difference in the world.

Qualification:

Degree qualified in civil engineering (BE/B. Tech./ME/M. Tech.).

Essential skills and experience:

  1. Experience and a commitment to effective management of Health, Safety, and Welfare, Safety by Design.
  2. Minimum 4+ years of experience in drainage and road design projects.
  3. All-round experience in surface and foul water drainage design.
  4. Relevant experience in car park layout design, private street design, and active travel scheme projects.
  5. Experience in utilities coordination, management of teams, and working with contractors.
  6. Collaborate effectively with the team members and stakeholders.
  7. Should have a deep understanding of drainage and highway design principles and practices, including knowledge of design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Info-Drainage
  8. An excellent understanding of relevant standards (e.g., the DMRB, Local Highway Authority standards).
  9. General IT software skills, such as, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and ProjectWise.
  10. Strong interpersonal skills supporting collaborative working with colleagues.

Desirable competencies/skills:

  1. Membership of related professional organisations.
  2. Experience of working with cross cultural teams.

Job Profile:

As an Highways Engineer, you will work alongside experienced professionals within multi-disciplinary teams and will gain experience of using industry standard toolsets on a range of challenging and dynamic projects. You need to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with both your colleagues and external clients through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
