The Candidate will support the delivery of strategic advisory services as well as project management roles for both public sector and private sector mandates. Projects include services covering business casing and economics, collaborative procurement approaches, due diligence, climate change and sustainability and asset management for major infrastructure developments. Our advisory service offering requires our team of practitioners to have a balance of an analytical mindset with strong project management, commercial awareness and project delivery risk to communicate concisely and confidently to senior levels of client organizations.

With multiple focus areas across the Canadian Advisory team, there is flexibility and opportunity to adapt your role to leverage the experience and strengths that you will bring to Mott MacDonald. Typical work will involve:

  • Supporting public sector authorities with strategic advice for the procurement and capital expenditure of their infrastructure programs and projects;
  • Supporting the development of procurement documentation, including but not limited to alternative forms of procurement such as P3s, CMGCs, and PDBs;
  • Supporting a range of projects with structured decision-making and options assessment/appraisal mandates.
  • Supporting climate resilience and adaptation strategies, assessments, and implementation plans for clients
  • Project management mandates;
  • Drafting reports and project audits;
  • Supporting risk management for both internal and external mandates;
  • Supporting and leading the preparation of proposals;
  • Internal project management (including budgets) and reporting; and
  • Supporting initiatives for the regional and global business.

Candidate Specification:

Candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and experience will be considered for the role:

  • A post-secondary degree with 10+ years of career experience related to the development of technical procurement documentation, engineering and/or infrastructure development;
  • Experience and knowledge of the construction industry / built environment;
  • Familiar and proficient with project management processes;
  • Experience of projects in multiple sectors (e.g. Built environment, Transportation, Water, Energy etc.);
  • Knowledge and experience of risk identification, management and mitigation;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of leading and working within a team;
  • Excellent written and presentation skills;
  • Able to work independently and unsupervised;
  • Positive attitude, team player.

This position is for a an existing vacancy. The expected salary range for this position is from $93,000-4113,000 CAD.
