Motorway is the UK’s fastest-growing used car marketplace – our award-winning, online-only platform connects private car sellers with thousands of verified dealers nationwide, ensuring everyone gets the best deal. Founded in 2017, our technology-led approach has redefined the experience of selling a car, generating thousands of monthly car sales and helping us to grow to a team of more than 400 people across our London and Brighton offices.

About Us:

We're a values-driven, results-oriented team building something truly special, and we need a strategic sourcing expert to join our mission. As our first dedicated sourcer, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of how we attract top talent across diverse departments like Product, Engineering, and Customer Experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Become a Talent Pipeline Architect: Craft impactful sourcing strategies, leveraging research, referral programs, events, and targeted campaigns to build robust talent pools.
  • Master the Art of Candidate Discovery: Utilise advanced search techniques and platforms like LinkedIn to identify and engage with passive candidates who are a perfect fit for our culture and values.
  • Be the Gatekeeper of Quality: Screen resumes with a discerning eye, assessing qualifications and identifying potential before anyone else.
  • Fuel Informed Decisions: Track and analyse pipeline activity, providing valuable insights to stakeholders and driving continuous improvement in our recruitment process.
  • Share Your Expertise: Collaborate with hiring managers and recruiters, sharing your knowledge of current industry trends, target companies, and effective sourcing practices.
  • Champion Our Brand: Be the first point of contact for potential candidates, showcasing our dynamic culture and setting clear expectations to create a positive recruitment experience.

Requirements

  • Proven Sourcing Expertise: You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a search firm or in-house recruiting team, consistently exceeding expectations with innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Results-Oriented Mindset: You deliver on timelines while ensuring a seamless candidate experience from start to finish.
  • Collaboration Champion: You thrive in a collaborative environment, partnering effectively with hiring managers to develop and implement targeted sourcing plans.
  • Research Rockstar: You're a master of candidate generation and research techniques, able to identify top talent at scale across diverse channels.
  • Assessment Ace: You have a keen eye for spotting potential in resumes and a knack for connecting with passive candidates on their terms.
  • Data Detective: You enjoy analysing data and translating insights into actionable recommendations to optimise our recruitment process.
  • Continuous Learner: You're passionate about staying ahead of industry trends and best practices, constantly seeking new ways to improve your sourcing skills.
