Job Description

About Motorway:

Motorway is the UK’s fastest-growing used car marketplace – our award-winning, online-only platform connects private car sellers with thousands of verified dealers nationwide, ensuring everyone gets the best deal. Founded in 2017, our technology-led approach has redefined the experience of selling a car, generating thousands of monthly car sales and helping us to grow to a team of more than 400 people across our London and Brighton offices.

The Role:

We have two sets of customers within our marketplace - Sellers and Dealers - and we are obsessed with ensuring both have a great experience. We have an exciting opportunity for a talented outbound sales person to join the team and play a pivotal role on the dealer side of the business - managing, collaborating with and growing our dealer base.

This is a B2B outbound sales role (not cold calling), predominantly focusing on adoption across dealerships to the Motorway platform - as well as working closely with them to drive adoption across the Motorway product stack, explaining the benefits and upselling the opportunities that Motorway creates for our dealer partners. You’ll be joining a new team in the business so this is a fantastic opportunity to help Motorway on our mission of building a better car market for tomorrow.

We are looking for someone with a massive drive to win and a can-do attitude. You will be happy to take ownership of processes/projects and be comfortable building relationships with people at all levels of businesses (including c-suite).

The B2B Sales Specialist role will involve:

  • Driving adoption and engaging dealerships with the Motorway product
  • Selling Motorways product stack
  • Quickly building rapport & relationships with dealerships
  • Managing an ever changing portfolio of accounts
  • Building a strong pipeline of dealers to engage
  • Working as part of a team, helping others and participating in regular meetings
  • Working closely with other internal departments to ensure we deal with buyers and sellers in a prompt manner
  • Additional project support - be on hand to support multiple business projects

Requirements

  • B2B Sales experience in a outbound role
  • Ability to build relationships, quickly and effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A great telephone manner and the ability to talk engagingly to lots of different types of buyers, from Sales Executives to Managing Directors
  • A proactive, self-motivating team player
  • A can do attitude
  • An understanding of the motor industry is not essential, but helpful.
