This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing scale-up at a crucial phase of growth and help change an industry for the better.

FP&A is a new team at Motorway, and as the second FP&A hire for the business, this role will be instrumental in building out a new function within the Finance team.

FP&A are responsible for forecasting and budgeting across the business, getting involved in all areas of the P&L, working closely with colleagues in multiple teams to assist with top-down and bottom-up forecasting and analysis.

The role will involve working across FP&A, Business Partnering and Commercial Finance, so an understanding of (and a desire to gain exposure to) each of these areas is essential.

Specific duties may include any / a number of the following:

  • Business partnering with senior stakeholders across the business, providing analysis and decision making support for particular projects, and also day-to-day Finance assistance.
  • Development of monthly & quarterly reporting packs for specific departments and the business as a whole.
  • Development of cash flow modelling & analysis
  • Assist with strategically significant projects such as long term capital planning and M&A

This role is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to further develop their skill-set, and to gain experience of building out a professional FP&A function in a rapidly scaling business.


  • Significant financial modelling experience - including financial statement modelling and analysis of large data sets
  • Experience of scalable process design & implementation
  • Ability to balance multiple changing priorities
  • Desire to work in a scale-up business
  • Anaplan experience - desirable but non-essential
  • Experience of budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis
  • Experience working in a professional FP&A team would be a big plus
  • Big four experience would be a plus, but non-essential
