Job Description

Moneysupermarket Group’s mission is to help households save money, we supply products from over 800 financial providers to more than 24 million unique monthly visitors, helping UK households save approx. £2bn each year, something we’re incredibly proud of. However, our market is highly competitive and our customers deserve even more, so we’re constantly improving our platform, products and ways of working.

We're looking for an experienced SEO manager to join us on a 12-month FTC basis and drive organic performance in our broadband, mobile, energy, and mortgage channels.

Working alongside content, PR, data, and engineering teams, you'll deliver best-in-class search and customer-centric experiences to drive traffic and revenue, and by making our services and information more readily accessible in search engines, you'll be uniquely well-positioned to help the UK save money. We save our customers about £2bn a year - your work helps make that happen!

About the role

  • Working with the SEO Lead to ensure we meet our budgeted performance and business objectives.

  • Scoping, developing and implementing content and product-led SEO initiatives.

  • Using first and third-party data to identify and prioritise commercial opportunities.

  • Collaborating with the content team to manage our content's entire lifecycle, from ideation to ongoing iteration.

  • Building relationships and integrating with PR, brand, tech, and data to deliver against our SEO goals.

  • Reporting on success and keeping collaborators up-to-date on performance regular trade reporting.

  • Knowledge sharing, training, and search evangelism.

  • Qualifying new product opportunities and working with our commercial teams to make them a reality.

Organic search plays a massive role in MoneySuperMarket's ongoing growth and mission, so you'll come in knowing you have the full backing of a bought-in business that evangelises SEO and wants to give you the resources to succeed.

About you

  • A proven track record of delivering business impact at large organisations in large markets, like the UK, the US, or Europe.

  • Either e-commerce experience, services with long sales cycles (like b2b), or experience working in a regulated industry like finance or health.

  • A curious marketer who can substantiate their ideas with data and pair them with credible execution plans, including what resources must be marshalled to make the idea a reality.

  • A design problem solver, able to test, learn, and iterate at pace.

  • A tinkerer who can make, or is interested in, internal tooling to help make better decisions—anything from intelligent Excel workbooks to Python scripts. We want to hear about if you find novel solutions to data problems to deliver business impact or gain an edge over the competition.

  • Experience liaising and collaborating with product and engineering teams, including writing product tickets and rationalising resource requests.

  • Experience working with data teams to create tailored reporting or data pipeline solutions that improve our internal capabilities.

  • Some light touch technical experience, such as understanding crawling, rendering, and indexing. However, hardcore tech experience is optional for this content, link and strategy-centric role.

This is a hybrid role, with two days per week in our London office in Soho.

We're an inclusive, anti-racist and equal opportunity employer that values diversity. This means we respect and embrace differences in gender identity, race, ethnic origin, sexual expression and orientation, religion and faith, age, marital status, disability, neurodiversity, social background, education and way of thinking. We’re a place where you can be you.

Our customers and users come from different backgrounds, as do our colleagues. We welcome applications from everyone, and particularly encourage women and Black, Asian and ethnic minority candidates to apply as we’re actively building representation that’s more closely reflective of the communities we serve. If you’re passionate about our purpose of helping households save money and excited about what you could accomplish here, we’d love to hear from you.

We understand that job adverts only say so much and you’re likely to have a lot of questions. If you’d like to know anything before applying such as more on the location, salary, our parental leave policy etc, please just let us know, and we’ll be happy to help.
