A Technology Specialist in the Copilot team plays a crucial role in helping customers leverage Microsoft technologies to build future business and IT solutions. Leverages sales strategy to address customer digital transformation and align technology to customer business needs. Understands customer needs, collects customer feedback, and provides strategic input to customers. Demonstrates Microsoft solutions to prove capabilities, applies architectures to client scenarios, and engages in partner sell-with scenarios to leverage partner ecosystem. Acts as an orchestration point for technical resources and works to resolve blockers in order to achieve solution implementations.

Responsibilities

Technical Expertise and Leadership

  • Serve as the subject matter expert within the local sales team.
  • Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and architecture design sessions.
  • Ensure customer solutions meet security and compliance requirements.
  • Clear technical and competitive blockers to accelerate sales and customer usage of Copilot, Viva, Teams Meetings, Calling, and Devices.
  • Tailor messages to win technical decisions in sales opportunities and usage scenarios.
  • Demonstrate technology differentiation and guide customers in decision-making.
  • Work with partners and other Microsoft teams to extend reach and address customer needs.
  • Orchestrate complex solutions involving multiple Microsoft products and services.
  • Identify and diagnose technical and competitive blockers, and develop solutions for these challenges.
  • Share practical knowledge with partners to drive the adoption of Microsoft 365 suite, Teams Voice, and Devices solutions.
  • Provide feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering teams to shape future products and strategies.
  • Participate in internal and industry events, contributing through blogs, whitepapers, training, and articles.

Continuous Learning and Community Engagement:

  • Maintain and enhance technical, sales, and professional skills continuously.
  • Engage in Microsoft technical communities and broader industry activities.
  • Recognized for contributions that drive business impact for customers, partners, and Microsoft.
  • Technical Presentations and Workshops: Leading customer engagements to showcase Microsoft technology and address technical queries.
  • Sales Support: Clearing technical and competitive hurdles to facilitate sales and enhance customer adoption of Microsoft solutions.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with partners and internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Feedback and Development: Contributing insights to improve Microsoft products and strategies.
  • Learning and Sharing: Continuously developing expertise and sharing knowledge within the community to drive innovation and adoption.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Previous experience technical pre-sales or technical consulting.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent qualification) combined with technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
  • Certification in Microsoft 365
