We are seeking an Account Executive to help lead one of Microsoft’s most strategic Global Financial Services customers. This is a development leadership role within our Enterprise Commercial business, focused on driving partnership, growth, and transformation for a top-tier global financial institution.

The Account Executive reports into the Global Client Director, working in close collaboration with them to deliver a unified global strategy and ensure regional execution excellence. You will help lead a diverse, high-performing team operating across multiple time zones, orchestrating Microsoft’s full capabilities to deliver measurable business outcomes for the customer.

About the Role

As Account Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring strong alignment with the global account vision and strategy. You’ll drive commercial success, customer satisfaction, and execution excellence through trusted partnership and disciplined orchestration.

You’ll collaborate across Microsoft’s global organization — including solution sales, services, engineering, and partner teams — to deliver the best of Microsoft to the customer. This is a leadership role that demands commercial acumen, teamwork, and an ability to operate effectively across global boundaries.



Responsibilities

Customer Leadership & Partnership

  • Act as the strategic advisor and relationship owner for senior customer executives across business and technology functions.
  • Partner closely with the Global Client Director, contributing to and executing the global account strategy with local and regional ownership.
  • Engage C-suite stakeholders to position Microsoft as a strategic partner in innovation, resilience, and digital transformation.

Orchestration & Execution

  • Lead and orchestrate a dynamic, global and virtual teams, driving cohesive execution across sales, solution, and partner organizations.
  • Coordinate activities across time zones and business units, ensuring consistent communication, accountability, and delivery excellence.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that encourages clarity of purpose, alignment, and shared success across all contributors.

Commercial & Business Growth

  • Own and deliver the commercial and financial performance of the global account, ensuring sustainable growth across Microsoft Cloud, AI, Data, and Modern Work solutions.
  • Identify and develop joint innovation opportunities that align to the customer’s strategic goals and industry priorities.
  • Balance long-term strategic value creation with short-term performance and disciplined execution.

Industry & Market Insight

  • Bring a deep understanding of the Financial Services industry, including regulatory, risk, and market dynamics, to shape and inform account strategy.
  • Translate global market trends and competitive insights into actionable opportunities for customer engagement and growth.

Leadership & Culture

  • Report directly to the Global Client Director, aligning regional execution with global strategy and maintaining strong interlock across the global account team.
  • Lead with clarity, empathy, and energy, fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Role model Microsoft’s leadership principles and commitment to diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning.


Qualifications

Required/Preferred Experience

  • Proven success as an Account Director, Client Partner, or Senior Account Executive managing large, strategic enterprise relationships, ideally in the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder accounts across global markets and virtual teams.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with a proven ability to translate business goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Skilled in cross-functional orchestration, working seamlessly across global time zones and organizational boundaries.
  • Understanding of digital transformation in Financial Services, including AI, cloud, data, and cybersecurity trends.
