Azure Infrastructure Sales Specialist

This role is to join the Azure Solutions team in the UK working with a territory of Financial Services customers / Professional and Business services, as an Azure Infrastructure Sales Specialist. It requires a dynamic and proactive approach to Cloud sales, technical expertise, collaboration inside and outside of Microsoft, with a focus on driving IT and digital transformation and creating business value for customers. The ideal candidate will be able to engage with our customers and support them building out their technical and business case for Microsoft Cloud services. They will have a passion for learning, and the drive and clear focus on achieving positive outcomes for Microsoft, our partners and our customers. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key decision-makers to generate excitement around Microsoft solutions’ value to influence long-term strategic direction
  • Engage and jointly sell with Partners and Priority ISVs to maximize business results by bringing together Microsoft and Partner solutions to deliver against customer business outcomes
  • Lead opportunities requiring orchestration of virtual teams composed of industry, solution, technical, licensing and legal team members
  • Build business cases and customer proposals to substantiate the value of the solution leveraging available programs and offer to negotiate, close the deal and successfully displace competition.
  • Exceed sales / cloud consumption quota by professional pipeline management and accurate forecasting.
  • Gets involved in strategies for best practice sharing across subsidiaries. Contributes ideas that can be instituted across Microsoft.
  • Be the Voice of the Customer: Share feedback, best practices to influence Microsoft Go-To-Market and product strategies
  • Your role will be focused on driving Azure Infrastructure adoption and growing the broader Microsoft Azure Solutions footprint within the customers.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft’s cloud offerings or Competitors’ related ecosystem. Versed in cloud migration and modernization.
  • Technical Knowledge. Possess both business acumen expertise and technology knowledge to connect how customer business issues impact their IT environments

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Sales Account Planning and Management: Understanding of opportunity pipeline management. Orchestrate and influence virtual sales/technical/support/partner teams to pursue sales opportunities and lead v-teams through influence
    Understanding of key infra-to-the-cloud workloads such as; Windows Server, SQL, SAP, HPC, Business Continuity Disaster Recovery (BCDR) data, App Modernisation, Security & hybrid cloud.
  • Consumption Business Strategy / Project Management. Experience leveraging cloud adoption methodologies and frameworks to structure Datacentre and application migration projects.
  • Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs.
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment for customer success
  • Experience and/or Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry OR Professional and Business services
