Overview

The Account Technology Strategist (ATS) in our Retail team, plays a key role in inspiring and ideating with their Enterprise Retail customer the possibilities technology provides to them, drives thought leadership in digital transformation and builds strategic partnerships with C- level technology and innovation executives.

The ATS provides technology guidance to clients, and orchestrates the interaction between clients and Microsoft resources to drive new opportunities, demand generation, Microsoft’s market share, digital transformation, and the mapping of industry/business scenarios to Microsoft solutions. Acts as the Technology Mentor for the customer or "go-to" person in established, long-term relationships with technical and/or business decision-makers at the Chief X Officer (CxO) level. Leads customer partnerships and drives conversations with clients to present the strategic value of Microsoft solutions. Acts as a trusted technology advisor both internally and externally to integrate Microsoft technology in the customer’s business. Gathers insights about client business and leverages existing architecture approaches to achieve Microsoft’s agreed commitments to clients. Holds accountability for identifying the pathway and resources necessary for building a strategy.

With deep industry knowledge, broad technology skills and unparalleled business acumen the ATS connects industry/business priorities to technology strategy and develops value propositions which align with our customer’s business strategies, leveraging the rich portfolio of Microsoft and its partner ecosystem.

Transformation & Innovation Strategy: Understand customer's industry and business goals, Microsoft solution areas and partner solutions to build a '3 Horizon' roadmap to enable the customer’s digital transformation and innovation agenda. Expand Microsoft relationships with customers into strategic partnerships.

Technology Thought Leadership: Reimagine the role of technology as a business and innovation partner to deliver the business goals of our customers, help them understand the impact of emerging and strategic technologies and inspire & influence them for Microsoft technologies to become the enabling solution to drive their business innovation.

Industry & Business Solutions: Create a joint strategy with the customer to link business, technology, and industry needs to deliver their business and transformation strategy.

Technology Sales Leadership: Lead technology sales activities to drive the digital transformation vision and roadmap of our customers with Microsoft technologies. Plan and orchestrate the solution proposal and coordinate technology sales teams to provide the right solution to the customer.

Demand Generation and Orchestration: Creates, develops, and drives opportunities based on industry best practices. Presents opportunities to the customer and creates demand. Develops a plan, within a broader strategy, to create and qualify a set number of opportunities for product sales, solutions sales, or consumption. Leverages multiple channels (e.g., social media) to create demand. Leads technical teams for driving opportunities including Specialist Team Unit (STU), Customer Success Unit (CSU), and others, as necessary. Leads efforts to reach out to key stakeholders to give customer-driven pitches and drives the appropriate customer reach together with the account executive to generate new demands.

Account Leadership and Relationship Management: A change Agent internally and externally to inspire and ideate about possibilities new technologies provide to drive business and technical strategy and priorities of our customers. Own and strengthen the relationships with C-level technology and innovation Executives in business units, and support through the lifecycle of change to ensure maximum value delivered to our customers.



Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Strong technical consulting, technical consultative selling, business consulting, practice building, or related technical/sales experience relating to Cloud products.

• Experience building and sustaining relationships with C-suite executives.

• Experience driving digital transformation with a solution driven approach.

• Experience working with Retailers or in the Retail sector preferred.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field (or equivalent qualification).
