The PR Manager NA (Madame Tussauds & Growth Brands Cluster) is a key role partnering with the GTM Director, MT & Growth Brands, to promote, shape, and safeguard the reputation of Merlin’s attractions across the cluster, including Madame Tussauds locations in Las Vegas, Nashville, and LA, as well as Peppa Pig World of Play locations in Chicago and Michigan, Peppa Camp DC, and Bubble Planet Arizona. The role leads consumer-facing public relations activity for individual attractions and the cluster as a whole, proactively manages issues in line with corporate policies, and supports engagement between Merlin’s business leaders and key local stakeholders to strengthen relationships and enhance brand reputation.

Qualifications & Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the GTM Director in developing and delivering effective consumer PR strategies that align with the Cluster’s growth priorities and enhance the reputation of Merlin’s attractions and brands.

  • Plan, develop, and execute integrated PR activity at both attraction and cluster levels, identifying cross-attraction opportunities and ways to leverage the Merlin brand with consumers.

  • Collaborate closely with PR colleagues and cross-functional teams within the MT & Growth Brands Go-To-Market team to ensure PR plans are fully integrated into overall marketing strategies.

  • Partner with PR agencies to develop and activate campaigns, managing projects to deliver on time and within budget.

  • Lead proactive issue and crisis management across the Cluster, working within agreed frameworks, escalating appropriately, and participating in an out-of-hours on-call rota as required.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media, ensuring accurate and effective handling of enquiries through best-in-class press office practices and global messaging alignment.

  • Support Merlin business leaders in engaging with key stakeholders, in partnership with the Global Director of Communications and Public & Government Affairs and the GTM Cluster Director.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of three years working in key roles relating to communications, with a demonstrable track record of proactively engaging with the media to help manage an organisation’s response to issues of public / stakeholder interest.
  • Proven experience in helping to respond effectively to crisis and issue management, and proactively mitigating risks through meticulous planning.
  • Have the confidence to engage with stakeholders internally and externally, being able to undertake meaningful dialogue and manage such relationships as necessary.
  • A track record of working in a busy and high-profile public-facing work environment, recognising that information and statements placed into the public domain have the potential to be closely scrutinised and subject to critical interpretation, and therefore must be carefully drafted with all such possibilities in mind.

Pay Range

From USD $72,000.00/Yr.
