Public Relations Manager EU/UK (MT & Growth Brands)

Location: London, Arbor

Contract Type: Permanent, salaried

We are hiring a PR Manager EU & UK (MT & Growth Brands Cluster) to work closely with the GTM Director to promote, shape and safeguard the reputation of Merlin’s attractions across the cluster, including Madame Tussauds in Prague, Vienna, Berlin and Budapest, and The Dungeons in Edinburgh, York and Berlin. This is a strategic role responsible for delivering impactful, consumer-facing PR activity that supports both individual attractions and the Cluster as a whole, strengthening Merlin’s reputation as owner and operator.

In this role, you will help shape and execute integrated consumer PR strategies aligned to the Cluster’s growth priorities, ensuring activity drives reputational and commercial benefit at both attraction and Cluster level. Working collaboratively across the MT & Growth Brands Go To Market function, you will ensure PR is fully integrated into marketing plans, identifying cross-attraction opportunities and leveraging the Merlin brand where appropriate.

You will manage PR agencies and campaigns, build and maintain strong media relationships across EU and UK markets, deliver best-in-class press office operations, and support proactive issue and crisis management in line with corporate frameworks, including participation in an out-of-hours rota where required. In partnership with senior communications leadership, you will also support engagement with key local stakeholders across the Cluster.

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in key communications roles, with a proven track record of proactively engaging with media to manage responses to issues of public and stakeholder interest.

  • Demonstrated experience in crisis and issue management, with the ability to anticipate risks and mitigate them through careful planning.

  • Confidence in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, building trusted relationships and leading meaningful dialogue when required.

  • Experience working in busy, high-profile, public-facing environments, with a strong understanding that information released publicly may be scrutinised and critically interpreted.

  • Exceptional skills in drafting clear, accurate, and carefully considered communications that protect and enhance organisational reputation.
