About the Role
At Alton Towers Resort, safety is at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced and driven First Aid & Incident Manager to lead our first aid and medical response operations across the Resort.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the welfare of all guests and colleagues. You will support the Senior Site Security Manager in the effective running of the Medical Department, managing incident response in line with legal requirements and company Health, Safety & Security guidelines. You will also form part of the Resort Incident Team during major incidents and large-scale events.
This role demands strong operational leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the First Aid team across the Resort.
- Ensure safe and secure first aid coverage across park and hotel operations in line with legislation and codes of practice.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels, including rota management and operational adjustments.
- Ensure all team members are trained and appropriately qualified.
- Lead investigations relating to safety, risk, or internal disciplinary matters when required.
- Perform the role of Incident Manager during major incidents.
- Plan and deliver first aid operations for large-scale events (e.g. concerts and fireworks).
- Produce high-quality statements and reports.
- Maintain superior daily operational standards within the Medical Department.

- FREC 3 (or higher)
- Proven leadership experience within a medical, emergency response, or first aid environment
- Strong incident management capability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing rotas, budgets, and team development
- Calm, confident decision-maker under pressure
