What you'll bring to the team

As a Rides Engineer, you’ll install, repair, and troubleshoot the tech behind our rides, attractions, and animatronics. From high-speed coasters to intricate PLC systems, you're the behind-the-scenes hero keeping the thrills alive and the fun flowing.

Qualifications & Experience

Main Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety in all tasks and procedures.

  • Perform preventive and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime on rides and attractions.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and follow through on maintenance issues for electromechanical systems.

  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and security of all ride equipment and work areas.

  • Inspect rides and attractions for safety hazards and ensure compliance with ASTM, NEC, OSHA, and local codes.

  • Operate tools and equipment such as drill presses, grinders, and power saws.

  • Recognize and address equipment needing repair, replacement, or adjustment.

  • Keep tools and machinery clean and in good working condition.

  • Stay up to date on industry techniques and practices through ongoing training and education.

  • Collaborate with fellow maintenance staff and other departments.

  • Respond promptly to emergency repair calls to ensure guest and employee safety and comfort.

  • Maintain a calm, rational approach under pressure or in emergencies.

  • Mentor and train Ride Engineer I team members.

  • Follow all LEGOLAND Florida policies and procedures.

  • Maintain guest-friendly, service-oriented demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electromechanical installation, maintenance, and service.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for rides and animation systems.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, micrometers, and calipers.

  • Familiar with a wide range of tools, hardware, lubricants, and torque wrenches.

  • Experience with electromechanical systems, including water pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and actuators.

  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems and practices preferred.

  • Ability to read and assess technical reports preferred.

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent education and experience) required.

  • Basic math skills required.

Pay Range

From USD $27.00/Hr.
