At SEA LIFE Blankenberge, the Admissions team creates the very first impression for every guest. As Admissions Team Leader, you will lead this team while ensuring our ticketing systems, data and processes run smoothly and efficiently.

This is a role for someone who enjoys combining guest experience, leadership and strong IT skills. You will not only guide the team welcoming thousands of guests each week, but also work with ticketing systems, data and automation tools to continuously improve the way we operate.

What You’ll Be Doing

Running a World-Class Admissions Operation

You will ensure our admissions area runs smoothly, efficiently and accurately every day.

  • Manage and optimise our ticketing and POS systems
  • Work confidently with ticketing databases, reports and operational data
  • Ensure strong cash controls and financial compliance
  • Oversee daily revenue reconciliation and reporting
  • Ensure all processes are safe, secure and guest-friendly

Your strong IT skills will help keep our systems running smoothly while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.

Improving Systems & Automation

We are constantly looking for ways to work smarter.

  • Work with operational data and systems to support decision making
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reporting
  • Help automate processes where possible using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate
  • Support digital improvements in ticketing, reporting and operational processes

This role plays an important part in helping our attraction become more data-driven and efficient.

Driving Commercial Success

Admissions is also a key commercial area of the attraction.

  • Maximise ticket sales through confident upselling and promotional awareness
  • Deliver performance against key targets including RPC, margins and controllable costs
  • Motivate your team to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Turn guest interactions into positive commercial opportunities

Creating Exceptional Guest Experiences

The admissions team sets the tone for every visit.

  • Lead by example in delivering warm and memorable welcomes
  • Drive high guest satisfaction scores
  • Create a positive, energetic and welcoming atmosphere at the entrance

Leading & Developing Your Team

You will guide and support the Admissions team to perform at their best.

  • Train, coach and develop your team members
  • Deliver clear and motivating daily briefings
  • Encourage commercial awareness and pride in guest service
  • Support new ideas and continuous improvement

You will also act as Duty Manager approximately twice per week, taking responsibility for the safe and smooth operation of the attraction during your shift.

Qualifications & Experience

About You

You might already be a team leader or this could be your first step into leadership.

You’ll succeed in this role if you:

  • Have experience in admissions, ticketing, retail or front-of-house operations
  • Feel confident leading or supervising a small team
  • Have strong IT and digital skills
  • Are comfortable working with databases, reporting systems and operational data
  • Enjoy improving processes and working with systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or other automation tools is a strong advantage
  • Understand how commercial KPIs contribute to business success
  • Enjoy delivering excellent guest service
  • Thrive in a busy, visitor-focused environment
  • Speak fluent Dutch and are good with French and English

Contract & Working Pattern

This role is offered initially on a fixed-term contract, with the opportunity to become permanent.

You’ll work 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. As we’re open every day, flexibility is essential, including weekends, public holidays and peak seasons.
