Job Description
What you'll bring to the team
Costume & Wardrobe Associate — Bring the Magic to Life! 🧵✨
Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes before the characters step into the spotlight?
From perfectly pressed uniforms to the costumes that bring beloved characters and live shows to life, our Costume & Wardrobe team makes sure our performers and team members are ready for their big moment!
As a Costume & Wardrobe Associate, you’ll be part of the behind-the-scenes magic at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort. You’ll help keep uniforms organized, costumes clean and show-ready, inventory on track, and performers looking their best.
If you’re organized, creative, hands-on, and love working with people — this could be the role for you!
Qualifications & Experience
🧵 What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll help keep our Wardrobe & Costume operation running smoothly by:
👕 Issuing uniforms to team members and making sure they receive the complete outfit required for their role.
📦 Receiving, counting, organizing, and storing new uniform inventory.
💻 Using our uniform software system to record garments issued and returned.
🔎 Keeping an eye on inventory levels and communicating with the Wardrobe Manager when supplies are running low.
🧺 Handling incoming laundry from Entertainment venues — washing, drying, folding, organizing, and putting everything back where it belongs.
✨ Keeping costumes clean, organized, and ready for characters and live shows.
🎭 Assisting with show and character costume setups and dressing roles when needed.
🪡 Performing basic costume and uniform repairs, including hemming and basic hand sewing.
🧹 Keeping the Costume & Wardrobe area clean, organized, efficient, and ready for action.
💡 Finding creative ways to make the most of our space and improve the wardrobe issuance process.
🤝 Working closely with Entertainment and other Park teams to make sure everyone has what they need.
🚨 Following all Health, Safety, and Security procedures and speaking up when you spot a potential safety concern.
📝 Reporting incidents, accidents, and new safety risks appropriately and promptly.
🎭 You Could Be a Great Fit If You...
Are the type of person who gets satisfaction from seeing everything clean, organized, and exactly where it belongs? You’re already off to a great start!
We’re looking for someone who is:
🧵 Comfortable with basic sewing and simple repairs.
👀 Detail-oriented and able to spot when something isn’t quite right.
📋 Organized and able to keep track of multiple tasks and priorities.
🤹 Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
💻 Confident using computers and learning new software.
🧮 Comfortable with basic math and inventory counts.
😊 Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with team members.
🤝 A team player who enjoys working with others.
🚀 Self-motivated and able to get things done without constant supervision.
💬 A strong verbal and written communicator.
🇺🇸🇪🇸 Bilingual in English and Spanish? Even better!
✨ Experience Is a Plus — Passion Matters Too!
Experience as a Costume Dresser, Wardrobe Attendant, or in a similar role within a theme park, theater, hotel, resort, or entertainment environment is highly desirable, but not required.
Studying Theatre Arts with a focus on costuming? That’s a huge plus!
Experience or education in the following is also welcome:
Theatre Arts
Costuming
Textiles
Sewing
Wardrobe
Entertainment production
But if you’re passionate about costumes, organized by nature, and ready to learn, we want to hear from you!
🧺 This Is a Hands-On Role
This isn’t a desk job where you sit all day!
You’ll spend time moving around the Park, interacting with team members, organizing wardrobe, handling laundry and costumes, and keeping everything running behind the scenes.
You should be comfortable with:
Standing and walking for extended periods.
Sitting when needed for paperwork and computer tasks.
Using your hands for sewing, sorting, folding, and organizing.
Reading labels and written materials.
Using computers and wardrobe software.
Driving as needed for work-related activities.
🚗 A Few Important Details
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to:
Have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
Be comfortable driving an on-site golf cart for business purposes.
Be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Have reliable attendance.
Be willing to follow all Park health and safety procedures.
🌟 Why Join the Costume & Wardrobe Team?
Because the magic doesn’t happen on stage without the people behind the scenes.
Before a character greets a family, before a performer walks onto a stage, and before our team members welcome guests into the Park, someone has made sure they have exactly what they need.
That someone could be you.
You’ll get to work behind the scenes, be part of the Entertainment experience, work with a fun team, and help create the unforgettable moments our guests came to LEGOLAND to experience.
🧱 Ready to Build Some Magic?
If you love costumes, organization, creativity, teamwork, and being part of something bigger than yourself, we’d love to meet you!
