We have an excellent new opportunity for a robust, hands-on, Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our operations team at SEA LIFE London Aquarium.
As our Maintenance Engineer, you will be accountable for ensuring the smooth, safe, and continuous operation of our aquarium life support systems, exhibits, as well as our building's infrastructure.
This is a permanent position, ideal for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician who possesses a good background in perhaps a factory facilities or an industrial setting, where fault-finding, preventative maintenance, and rapid breakdown response are paramount and therefore second nature to you!
Being the Maintenance Technician in this position will see you take ownership of key duties such as:
In addition, the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician will be required to perform general facility repairs, including routine door repairs as and when required. You’ll oversee and maintain toilet functionality, including unblocking and minor plumbing repairs.
You will be working on a rotating shift pattern consisting of early and late schedules;
You will be on your feet for most of the day, there will be lots of working as well as climbing stairs and ladders in this role. At times you will need to manoeuvre in awkward / sight places to be able to reach a work area you are concerned with.
There will be also a degree of manual handling, such as needing to carry 20 kilos bags of salt when needing to maintain the water softener for instance, and this could be multiple bags and a long distance.
Qualifications & Experience
We require the appointed Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to possess the following;
The ability to work effectively in a high-traffic public venue will be very important in this role, equally to have the right health and safety awareness will be important.
This position will offer the ability to further learn and gain extra knowledge and skills, through additional training and development opportunities which are available.

Pay Range
GBP £47,325.07/Yr.

3 office days / week – HQ/Office-based roles. (On-site roles are fixed to a location.)
