Job Description

What you'll bring to the team

As a Hotel Night Porter at Thorpe Shark Cabins, you will be the welcoming face of our overnight operation, ensuring every guest is checked in and supported throughout their stay. Working closely with the Hotel Night Team Leaders, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining high operational standards, and helping us achieve our daily KPI targets.

This role is varied and hands‑on - from checking guests in and out, assisting with luggage, and maintaining cleanliness across guest areas, to ensuring the Cabins Shop is fully stocked and that all departing guests complete their KPI feedback surveys. You will also play a key part in responding to guest feedback and resolving any minor issues quickly and professionally. With integrity and responsibility at the heart of this position, you’ll help create memorable experiences for every guest staying at the Thorpe Shark Cabins.

Qualifications & Experience

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • A friendly and approachable personality
  • Exceptional customer service skills and confidence dealing with guests
  • An enthusiastic approach to creating memorable experiences
  • Integrity and responsibility when handling guest belongings
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards
  • Reliability when following safe working practices in line with company policies

While experience in hospitality or guest‑facing roles is beneficial, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

Benefits

Alongside the opportunity to perform to thousands of international guests in your residency, you’ll also receive:

  • Monthly Bonus based on guest satisfaction
  • 25% discount in our retail shops and restaurants and 40% off LEGO online
  • Merlin Magic Pass - giving you free tickets to all our attractions worldwide for you, your family, and friends every year
  • Discounted rates at Merlin hotels all over the world
  • Employee pricing up to 55% off cinema tickets

If you have any questions or if you require any assistance, because of a disability or medical condition, please contact us by email at recruitment@merlinentertainments.biz and one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.
