Front Desk Associate - Overnight - Part Time
Job Description
What you'll bring to the team
Front Office Desk Associate — Be the Welcome! ✨🏨
Be the first smile, the helpful voice, and the friendly face that makes every stay feel special!
A great vacation starts the moment a guest walks through the door — and you’re a big part of that first impression.
As a Front Office Desk Associate, you’ll be at the heart of the resort experience, welcoming guests, helping make their stay seamless, and jumping in to solve problems when they arise. From check-in to check-out and everything in between, you’ll help create the kind of experience that makes guests want to come back.
If you love meeting people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can keep your cool while juggling multiple things at once, this could be the perfect role for you!
Qualifications & Experience
🌟 What You’ll Do
You’ll be the friendly face guests can count on throughout their stay. You’ll:
👋 Welcome every guest with a genuinely warm and friendly arrival.
🏨 Check guests in and out while making sure reservations, payments, special requests, and guest information are accurate.
😊 Create memorable guest service experiences by responding to questions, requests, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and care.
📞 Handle incoming calls and assist with outgoing calls through the resort’s phone system.
💬 Provide helpful information and assistance to guests and visitors.
📅 Assist with reservations, changes, cancellations, and other guest requests quickly and accurately.
🤝 Work closely with Guest Services, Safety, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other teams to make sure guest needs are taken care of.
💳 Process guest payments accurately and according to hotel procedures.
💰 Maintain the safe while on duty and accurately document all transactions.
🧾 Complete cash drops and ensure all required approvals and signatures are in place.
📊 Balance your shift accurately within the hotel’s property management system (PMS).
🔐 Protect the confidentiality and privacy of our guests and team members.
🚨 Help coordinate during emergencies such as fire, medical situations, or power/system failures by contacting the appropriate personnel.
💫 What We’re Looking For
You don’t have to know everything on day one. We’re looking for someone who knows how to take care of people.
You’ll be a great fit if you are:
Naturally friendly, approachable, and welcoming.
A strong communicator who can listen and respond thoughtfully.
Comfortable handling guest concerns and finding solutions.
Organized and detail-oriented — especially when it comes to payments and guest information.
Able to multitask and prioritize when things get busy.
A team player who enjoys supporting coworkers.
Professional while still bringing personality and positive energy to the guest experience.
Calm, confident, and resourceful when challenges pop up.
Someone who genuinely enjoys helping people have a great stay.
🏨 Experience & Education
1 year of hotel front office experience is preferred, but not required.
Experience with a hotel Property Management System (PMS) is a plus.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent education and experience is preferred.
Must be able to speak and write English clearly and fluently.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
Conflict-resolution and leadership skills are a plus.
A passion for improving the guest and team experience will take you far!
🧩 You’re a Multitasking Pro
The Front Office can be a busy place — phones may be ringing, guests may have questions, a teammate may need assistance, and another guest may be arriving for check-in.
You’ll learn to keep all the plates spinning while making each guest feel like they have your full attention.
You’ll need to be comfortable:
Standing and walking for extended periods.
Moving throughout the resort to interact with guests and team members.
Using computers and other office equipment.
Completing paperwork and handling detailed transactions.
Working in a variety of indoor and outdoor areas with changing temperatures and floor surfaces.
❤️ Safety Is Everyone’s Job
You’ll play an important role in keeping our guests and team members safe. You’ll follow established health and safety procedures, use equipment only when properly trained, report incidents appropriately, and support the team during emergency situations.
🌴 Why Join the Front Office Team?
Because you can turn a hotel stay into a great memory.
You’ll meet people from all walks of life, work with an incredible team, solve problems, celebrate guest milestones, and help create the experience people came here to enjoy.
Some days will be calm. Some will be wonderfully busy. And some will require you to think on your feet.
But every day, you’ll have the chance to make someone’s day a little better.
✨ Ready to Welcome the Fun?
If you’re friendly, energetic, dependable, and ready to be a key part of the guest experience, we’d love to have you at the Front Desk!
Come be the smile that starts their stay.
