
Costume Maintenance Assistant
Job Description
What you'll bring to the team
In this role you will report to the Costume Manager and the Costume Maintenance Supervisor. You will be responsible for making sure the Alton Towers Resort performers present a clean, tidy, the correct and easily recognisable image to our guests. Predominantly you'll be maintaining costumes and caring for the upkeep of costume characters. This includes washing, ironing, repairs, alterations, fittings, and cooperating with performers daily.
Candidates are required to work 5 out of 7 days, these will include weekends and bank holidays.
Qualifications & Experience
Requirements:
- Strong sewing skills are essential, with the ability to work efficiently and precisely
- Good attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving materials
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods
- A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team
- Full driving license
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a costume department
- Familiarity with industrial sewing machines
- A qualification in Costume, Fashion, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Pay Range
Compensation between GBP £10.95/Hr.-GBP £12.81/Hr.
