Job Description
Join the Capability, Knowledge & Skills (CK&S) team within the Technical Excellence Directorate, providing an excellent opportunity to gain experience in project coordination and stakeholder engagement, to drive capability and skills improvement across the Technical organisation.
Salary: Circa £41,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (Hybrid) working: The success of this role is dependent on building effective networks and relationships. As such, we require a minimum of three days a week on site with occasional UK and European travel.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
As the Project Co-ordinator (Capability, Skills & Knowledge) you'll be tasked with supporting the delivery of Capability, Knowledge and Skills improvement plans, working with a wide range of teams across international functions, helping to keep initiatives organised, on track, and well communicated.
You’ll collaborate closely with technical experts and stakeholders, supporting strategies and solutions that enhance current and future technical capabilities. This role is central to ensuring we continue to evolve, innovate, and deliver high-quality outcomes. The team are dynamic, focused and passionate about continuous improvement to enable efficient ways of working, driving efficiency and influencing positive change.
This exciting challenge means you will get to work on improvement projects that shape the future technical capabilities at MBDA, collaborating with experts across international teams and have an opportunity to influence how technical excellence is delivered across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver and support Capability, Knowledge & Skills improvement projects, ensuring effective governance, planning and execution
- Provide project management support, including reporting and milestone tracking, ensuring actions are delivered
- Help coordinate the Technical Expert Network, ensuring effective communication and engagement, and supporting Technical Expert training development
- Support the organisation of meetings and workshops, including preparing materials and capturing outputs
- Develop and maintain resources, guidance, and best-practice frameworks for functional management for capability, skills, knowledge management and technical libraries
- Support communication and stakeholder engagement plans across the CK&S team
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, sharing best practice and driving consistency across the Technical directorate
- Maintain and update guidance documents, knowledge resources, and shared repositories
What we’re looking for from you:
- Experience working with engineering or technical teams, with the ability to translate requirements into structured plans
- Strong stakeholder management and networking skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across international functions
- A proven experience in identifying and implementing continuous improvement, knowledge management, skills and functional capability development initiatives
- Be a highly motivated individual able to work in a dynamic technical environment and deliver on multiple simultaneous projects, with a proactive mindset
- Be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with experience producing reports, facilitating meetings and able to collaborate with the wider business, working across all levels in an organisation
- Highly proficient in creating dynamic reports, presentations and data analysis using Microsoft Office tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
