Principal Project Manager - CAMM Family

A great Opportunity to join the CAMM/ Family team which has seen significant growth in recent times due to continued success primarily in the export domain. CAMM Family is part of the CAMM Missiles and Systems (CM&S) Sector working alongside both the Land Ceptor and Sea Ceptor Weapon System teams.

Salary: Circa £50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

CAMM Family (incorporating CAMM & CAMM ER) is an ever-expanding area within the CAMM Missiles and Systems (CM&S) sector with further growth expected during 2026 and beyond within both the domestic & export markets.

The number of extant contracts and the predicted future growth within the CAMM Family domain has necessitated the launch of a number of strategically important, high value, company funded sustainment type programmes geared towards securing the longevity of the CAMM Family products well in to the future.

There is also the need to undertake Transfer of Technology (ToT) programmes of work associated with delivering the requite level of workshare between the UK and Italian Nat-Cos associated with the CAMM-ER product.

This role within the CAMM Family B&PM team will primarily be responsible for the delivery of the Strategic Production Enabling Programmes (SPEP), To associated with enabling the necessary industrialisation & production rate / capacity increases required to ensure we are able to deliver our CAMM & CAMM-ER munition production requirements for both our backlog and future expected contracts . Opportunities also exist within the Strategic Obsolescence Programmes (SoP) area of our CAMM Family sustainment portfolio of programmes with SoP being focused on delivering a significant update to the CAMM Munition design to support production into the 2030s & beyond.

The close management & control of each of the associated programmes of work is pivotal to success; employing the necessary project management tools and techniques as well as requiring close engagement & collaboration with the various stakeholders who play a part in the successful delivery of our programmes including Operations, Technical, CSS, Commercial, Procurement, Finance Export Contract Management, Export Control & Shipping.

The role also has a significant multi-national dynamic given the need to work closely with our colleagues within the Italian Co-Operative Programmes Business Line. This requires collaborative working with our Italian teams to coordinate the programmes of work, manage dependencies and ensure successful delivery of our commitments. This role also provides excellent levels of visibility across CAMM Family, CM&S & both the UK & Co-Operative Programme Business Lines given the importance of On Time, On Cost, On Quality delivery to ensure our contractual commitments are delivered both now and into future years ensuring continued ensuring continued customer satisfaction (both external & internal) & the upholding of MBDA’s reputation across our portfolio of programmes.

This is a diverse and evolving area of the business, offering an excellent opportunity for someone to further develop and broaden their Project Management skills. The role provides exposure to a diverse range of Stakeholders, different aspects of the CADMID cycle, which collectively provides valuable Project Management experience
