Shift: Days (9am – 5pm) Monday - Friday (Flex on weekends to cover)

Mars Petcare is seeking Warehouse Inbound / Outbound Logistics Operator to join our exciting pet food business at a Fremont, NE, manufacturing plant. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. The Warehouse Inbound / Outbound Logistics is the first point of contact for all inbound and outbound shipments. They will be responsible for managing the inbound and outbound operations, I-Track, RCLMS, ITMS logistical requirements, load tendering, and office administrative responsibilities in the areas of raw goods warehouse, ingredient receiving, and dock door management. Stays in constant communication with affiliate carriers, customer care, and receiving teams to ensure an efficient flow of work and high service levels to customers.

Job Summary

Responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and efficiently processing incoming shipments. This role ensures inventory is accurately received, labeled, stored, and entered into the warehouse management system while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Receive and unload inbound shipments from carriers and suppliers.
• Verify quantities, product codes, and shipment documentation against purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
• Record receipts accurately in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or inventory system.
• Label, scan, sort, and stage products for put-away.
• Coordinate with purchasing, transportation, inventory control, and warehouse teams to resolve receiving issues.
• Communicate discrepancies, damaged products, and delivery delays to appropriate departments.
• Ensure products are stored in the correct locations using FIFO/FEFO procedures when applicable.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle-count activities of Finished Goods, Pack Materials and Consumables.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and other warehouse equipment as authorized.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.

• Backup for the Warehouse lead and support Warehouse Lead with daily tasks.
• Follow company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Meet established productivity, accuracy, and quality targets.

• Updates for invoicing as orders are picked up.

• Monitor the receiving window, office phone system, and inbound/outbound gates.

• Support Manager and Leads on all shifts.

• Drive to offsite storage warehouse (Ford Storage) everyday or as needed to receive and sample all the deliveries

• Communicate with Flow Team and Ford Storage daily

• Support at RFT when everything from Ford has been completed. Help receive all the materials and support with daily tasks

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, receiving, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
• Basic computer and inventory-system skills.
• Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely, typically up to 50 lbs depending on facility requirements.
• Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
