Veterinary Field Sales representative (Royal Canin)
Location: Somerset / Dorset
£34,600 - £43,000 + up to 20% annual bonus and benefits
At Mars we now have an exciting opportunity for Veterinary Field Sales Representative to come and join our Royal Canin team! You will be accountable for or delivering territory sales growth and securing the clinical recommendation of Royal Canin products in line with the veterinary pillar strategy.
This role is critical in Royal Canin to building and developing collaborative, mutually beneficial relationships with multiple stakeholders within veterinary clinics and hospitals. You will provide each clinic and hospital with commercial support (merchandising solutions, business review, revenue growth), as well as nutritional support and education for all staff to ensure mutual business goals are achieved.
What are we looking for?
Ideally hold a Scientific qualification – A-level / BSc / Major in animal medicine and animal science preferable but not essential.
Knowledge of veterinary industry highly desirable
Knowledge of basic sales principles preferable
Direct experience in related companies or working within the veterinary industry preferable
Strong presentation & communication skills
IT skills (proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) to support effective sales analysis and management of the territory
What will be your key responsibilities?
Drive profitable revenue growth within sales territory
Educate veterinary staff on nutrition by being an expert in veterinary product knowledge and utilising available training tools
Effective sales coverage including pre-call planning with defined objectives and delivery of sales coverage model objectives (frequency of visits, level of service etc.)
Identify new business opportunities and prospect new business
Represent the Brand at internal and external company events (e.g.: Trade shows, seminars and conferences) including overnight stays, as required
Implement, support and report the deployment of the Key Account strategy in the territory through liaising with Key Account Management team & implementing accounts service level agreements
