The Waltham Petcare Science Institute provides the word-class science behind the MARS Petcare brands. Our work at WALTHAM covers diverse topics in pet nutrition, health, and wellbeing and is achieved through designed experiments and real-world data. In addition, we join forces with other MARS Petcare teams in the Science domain to collectively work on making a better world for pets.
What are we looking for?
An experienced systems lead for managing the full life cycle of our data collection systems. The following elements are required/desired:
Significant experience in life cycle management of complex operational IT systems.
Strong project management skills.
People management experience including technical mentoring, soft skill development, and engagement.
Comfortable interfacing with a variety of stakeholders including business leaders, users, data engineers, and data scientists.
Experience in an R&D environment is an asset.
A master’s degree in a computing, a scientific, or a mathematical topic is an asset.
What will be your key responsibilities?
As a member of the WALTHAM data analytics leadership team, you will:
Oversee the development, configuration, and support of operational IT systems for data collection.
People manage a small team of system owners.
Manage an IT programme for pet centre data collection systems in partnership with the Petcare IT organisation.
Co-lead the Waltham data analytics team.
