What you’ll do:
The Contract Manufacturing (Co-Man) Strategic Sourcing Manager will report to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager who is responsible for all aspects of Commercial within EMEA, covering Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and external manufacturing operations. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will ensure continuous and responsible supply, by managing pricing, performance, Value Leadership (savings), legal agreements and relationships with external Co-Man partners. Supporting and working with the Supply & R&D functions on the day-to-day operations and way of working with the Co-Man partners.
What are we looking for?
- Proven procurement experience with category management experience in buying is a must. Experience in ingredient sourcing and packaging is highly desirable.
- Industry experience in FMCG / Food is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- Learn and adapt to changing market conditions and business dynamics. Ability to work with cross functional teams, collaborating with both internal and external, across various nationalities and backgrounds.
- UK and European travel will be necessary to office and supplier locations.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Maintain effective procure-to-pay procedures for each product, some of which are maintained through MW functions and manage pricing disputes.
- The identification and implementation of profit improving Value Leadership through cost reduction initiatives. Engage with R&D, Supply, Marketing and Finance colleagues through the Value Leadership program to activate these.
- Leads supplier relationships in the region, acting as escalation point for cross functional teams, chairing supplier reviews and ensuring drive of continuous improvement at suppliers.
- Create and deploy the Commercial sourcing strategy for ingredient and packaging categories.
- Manage price, supply, service, legal and intellectual property risks in line with business priorities.
