Job Description

Job Description:

Job Purpose & Overview

Royal Canin (RC) has set itself up to improve Pets’ Health at scale and with precision. This requires

· scientific understanding of each pet’s health needs.

· building a relationship with each pet owner so their pets can have Royal Canin nutrition.

· in-depth understanding of pain-points of our ecosystem for the best health outcome for pets.

Data & Analytics (D&A) exists to infuse decision making at each level of RC with relevant facts and insights built from unified data assets.

D&A in RC is shifting to work via domains: a domain is a strategic area of focus for D&A which requires acquiring and processing similar data assets, or assets whose processing could be highly synergistic– either in terms of execution, and/or in terms of value created/ actionable insights/ pain points addresses. A domain may regroup multiple use cases and initiatives.

Domains are about product organized delivery: iterative value creation towards stakeholders in bitesize chunks through end-end work so

1. The business benefits from progress quickly.

2. Progress is tested fast.

3. Work needed happens in autonomous minimally dependent agile squads.

One of these domains is S&OP+ (Strategic Deployment & Operation Planning or Integrated Business Planning): the process that enables us to know at any point in time where we are versus our strategic objectives on a three year horizon, through cross functional alignment. It enables the creation of realistic scenarios to make decisions on how to best allocate resources to deliver our strategy and does not look at piloting short term delivery.

Context and Scope

  • The ask from our Leadership to D&A is to build scalable and robust foundations, secure in-flight projects, and sustainably maximize value creation

  • The ask from our Leadership to S&OP+ function is to leverage existing data in a unified way to play out business scenarios across strategic horizons and ensure adequate resourcing and improved decisioning.

  • Key stakeholder relationships with Global Functions, Regional teams, the Sales and Marketing functions, Supply Chain and Value Chain Operations functions, the S&F community in RC and PetCare including the RC CFO and PetCare CFO, and especially the PetCare Data & Analytics team.
