Reliability Team Leader

The Reliability Team Leader (RTL) has the responsibility and accountability for making technical decisions that impact all production lines across the factory. This role requires close coordination with Operational Team Leaders on site, to lead resources so that preventative and corrective plant maintenance is delivered with safety and food safety front of mind. As a member of the Site Technical Leadership team, the RTL will help shape the maintenance strategy and drive the capabilities & performance of all team members forward.

  • Lead reliability technicians & maintenance schedulers to create & implement planned preventative maintenance plans to maximise factory performance and output
  • Responsible for driving effective spend of maintenance expense through asset maintenance strategy improvement
  • Responsible for making factory-wide decisions where necessary, guiding other Team Leaders and factory associates on resolving deviations to KPIs
  • Line management for a team of reliability associates; planning work and managing crewing levels, conducting training, and ensuring that all attendance, performance and disciplinary matters are dealt with in accordance with company procedures
  • Building a high-performing team through developing associates individually and within the team. Driving the engagement of associates through coaching and impact planning. Developing associates through effective personal development plan management to ensure functional, team and personal development.
  • Provide clear communication to the team on initiatives within the factory, as well as the wider business
  • Lead factory-wide projects to drive priority initiatives
  • Collaborating with Site Technical Leadership Team peers to lead and partner in maintenance technical strategy, asset performance improvement, MSE PM Pillar deployment and asset investment
  • Role model the factory operational processes, leading functional meetings and supporting operations in root cause analysis through effective coaching
  • Lead recruitment processes & support with apprentice development to continue to fill a high calibre talent pipeline into the Technical team

The role partners with the site Technical leadership team peers, Operations team leaders and support functions such as Safety and Quality to deliver world class maintenance to the Plymouth factory

This is primarily delivered through the associates reporting to the Reliability Team Leader although there is some direct responsibility of the LM to deliver follow up on factory critical issues and drive forward the team maintenance strategy
