As Mars continues to evolve its strategy to meet the demands of tomorrow, the Strategic Capabilities team (SCT) is a critical driver for accelerating associate growth and competencies for the business. This Planning, Resourcing and Effectiveness Manager role will oversee the SCT internal operations and budget, coordinate the execution of key SCT initiatives, and support the SCT team to provide world-class service to our customers.
The incumbent will engage across the SCT to ensure the relevant processes, methodologies and tools that are driving operational effectiveness in planning, tracking, measuring and reporting on SCT's most critical projects / activities are embedded. The Planning, Resourcing and Effectiveness Manager will also build and manage the overall resource allocation, ensuring that the SCT provides the needed resources to support the prioritized SCT and TCR initiatives.
Additionally, this role will partner closely with the MGS Learning team as required to support the overall success -of the Operating Model.
This role will be focused on ensuring seamless coordination, collaboration, communication, and management of key initiatives across the Strategic Capabilities team.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Preferred) in areas such as Human Resources, Operations, Business Management.
8+ years in staffing management / resources allocation in consulting
Project management certification strongly referred (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile)
Experience in large, complex organizations a plus
- Experience as consultant is a plus
Proven track record in project and program management
Deep expertise in Project Management and Resourcing tools, methodologies and technology. Knowledgeable of industry leading vendors in these areas.
Strong analytical skills
Proven ability to coordinate and manage complex cross-business projects given multiple competing priorities or perspectives
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Experience preparing executive-level dashboards and reports
Strong professional presence with effective communication and presentation skill
What will be your key responsibilities?
Actively partnering across the Strategic Capabilities LT to provide resource allocation of the Strategic Partners and Accelerators pool and share key insights.
Having Responsibility for managing the resource allocation of the SC Partners and Accelerators (SCP&A) pool and staff the SC Planning and Building projects in line with the defined priorities, matching skills and availability of SCP&A's.
Define as needed and track best practice and success KPIs in partnership with MGSL for capability planning and building to ensure continued progress and to escalate any risks / concerns as necessary.
Partner with the Head of SC and the Change and Communications lead to plan key stakeholder engagements such as the SC & Learning Governance bodies and stakeholders.
- KPI's / Performance Tracking of the SC Function
Lead the deployment process to launch new projects
Implements timeline mobilizing cross functional teams to define build, run, sunrise and expansion phases in project
Track and communicate key decisions points, issues, risk management and actions
Ensure alignment and connectivity of stakeholders throughout Global, Regional & Local departments
Ensure alignment among x-functional teams
Facilitate projects execution by ensuring good pace and connection, setting meetings, tracking actions and milestones, raising alerts and helping on escalation when needed
